Gladys the owner and the other staff were really helpful, they like to share knowledge of the town and breakfast is served like a hotel. Really clean rooms and bathrooms.

The lady owner is helpfully , busy manager , cleaner, tour operator and a best friend. The best friend part is a bit to much because you don't know if it's really ment.

I had a great stay! The staff was always awesome, very friendy and helpful in every way. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are decent sized, they don't charge for lockers, which by the way are HUGE (you could sleep inside them!). They have a lot of touristic information, you can book any excursion right there. To sum it up: Almost excellent in every aspect.

A nice enough hostel. The owner Gladys is very helpful but won't waste time trying to sell you her tours. If you want to do these she sells them at a good price (same as her competitors) but they are getting more expensive at around US$75 this year. I especially enjoyed the penguin colony at Punta Tombo

Great owner (Gladys) is very personable and friendly. She made our stay very comfortable and was very helpful in getting us familiar with Puerto Madryn. The hostel is in a great location only walking distance to the beach, and right across the street to some of the best pizza and empanadas we've had yet so far in Argentina (@Don Tomas)! We stayed in a triple room that was small yet comfy. The owner was very helpful in booking us a tour for peninsula Valdes. Thanks Gladys! (Sean, Amanda, & Kim)

Overall the hostel was perfect. What made it so was Gladys she was extremely helpful with everything about our stay. She made us feel very welcome and organized every tour that we participated in. On the one occasion a tour didn´t go as planed she took it upon herself to call the tour company and organized for us a full refund and voice our complained in a nice way. She´s super awesome and we can really recommend staying in her hostel!

A nice, family-oriented hostel. Staff are often too busy to help, as the owners take on all the cleaning and day-to-day functioning themselves, but they always provided a wonderful breakfast. The hostel organizes tours that are comparable in price to any in town, with nice, small group sizes. In my time there, 2 couples left because they wanted more of a party atmosphere, and the owner did not like them organizing their own tours, independant of the hostel. A great quiet place to recharge.

El Retorno is a clean, quiet hostel with a generally nice staff.

They were amazing, helped us with everything we needed and were friendly and fun. We would definitely return
