OVERPRICED! Breakfast poor, some bread with butter/jam, 1 boiled egg + tea or coffee, you can buy this stuff outside with at most 1EURO. Help from staff about INDEPEDENT visits in atttractions really poor and also somehow MISLEADING, they tried to make you take THEIR tours (OVERPRICED e.g. Abu Simbel minibus tranfer and back for 150EGP, while tourist office gives value of 100EGP and I found myself one of 110EGP) and taxi transport (OVERPRICED also e.g. Phillae temple taxi).
THe hotel is very ran down. The roof terrace is closed, it almost looks like an abandoned building. The location listed on hostelworlds is not accurate at all. It's 15/20 min walking distance from the train station. The only good thing was the view from the room. Apart from that, I think the hotel is pricey compared to the other ones I went to in Egypt.
Great location, but very noisy and the bathroom was old and dirty. For the price, it's alright.
Located right on the corniche in Aswan and easy access to everything. Staff are lovely and helpful. The hostel unfortunately is very depressing. Rooftop cafe/bar would be amazing but they've stopped using it and locked it up - not sure why. Room and bathroom needed to be cleaned. No hot water at all in our rooms - asked for it several times and they didn't fix it (can't believe they actually advertise 'hot water' and don't actually have it). Very noisy beside a marketplace. Overpriced IMO.
