I had a wonderful time. The rooms were very clean, but a little scarce on furniture. Staff was amazing, especially Sara! The patio and bar are a great asset to the hostel, and the live music was a huge plus. Breakfast could have been a little better, maybe just some bananas and oranges besides just medialunas every morning. I had a wonderful time and am already recommending the hostel to others.

Staff could be more helpful in making recommendations about seeing the city. For example, the Hop on/Hop off bus was a really good deal, specially compare to other cities where this service is available. Nothing was really offered to us as far a sightseeing and activities. We enjoyed our stay, the private room and the balcony. But I was disappointed because I had heard the Hostels in BA were Super. The ceiling fan, the walls and other areas were dirty. The sheets could be improved too.

Staff was very helpful!! Clean facilities. Only inconvenience was that there weren´t any personal lockers in our dorm room, other than that this hostel exceeded our expectations. Thank you for all your recommendations Paul!

decent location for recoleta, old building has some character but common areas were small, not quite clean and the limited kitchen was a tiny hallway. bathrooms very basic (showers didn't drain much). decent wifi. friendly staff.

A hidden gem in recoleta? An excellent hostel, the owner and staff are always keen to assist with queries and questions. The only points that need attention are the breakfast which could be a bit better, the cleanliness (was very busy so in the afternoon onwards they run out of toilet paper and the bathrooms were a bit dirty) and kitchen which is small for the capacity of the hostel, even though it did not seem to cause any major problems.

Room was clean and staff were helpful with city info. Good location for walking to Recoleta cemetry and walking to Palermo. Subway stop 5 mins walk away to get into the centre or to Palermo. Facilities were pretty basic in the hostel, not much atmosphere but its pretty cheap. Has a rooftop bar and had a few drinks up there at night which was nice. Not much of a common room for meeting people. Basic breakfast coffee/ croissants. Good budget option or just somewhere to sleep in BA.

Patio area lovely but the combined toilet/shower/small food dishes washing area near our room seeemed a bit unhygenic. Percolated coffee = excellent idea but unfortunately it tasted like water. Great location however and staff helpful and friendly. Small kitchenette but enough room to cook, can opener would be handy!

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I was ill the day I arrived and they switched my single room so I didn't have to climb more stairs which was a nice touch. It was exactly as it said in the description, a little bit noisy, a tiny kitchen but there was live music and activities for Christmas if you wanted to join in.

I've stayed in a bunch of the hostels in BA and they all have there advantages. El Sol is a friendly, well situated place and cleaner than most. Nothing fancy and not a huge party place just comfortable with nice peole.
