Good hostel, with two good sized kitchens, good chill out areas and massive bedrooms in a great location in the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the dorm we were in (6 bed, think room 6?) is really to small for 6 beds and truely feels like your on top of each other though fine for a couple of days i suppose

Pretty awful. Dorm room was tiny. No plugs to charge iDevices so after a day my phone and iPad were dead. Everything was priced at a bit of a rip-off. No way can I recommend it.

8 bed dorm was cramped and noisey with people opening lockers under the beds, but it was comfortable. Great location for wandering the streets around. Friendly staff and comfortable common area.

This is a fine hostel but isn stand out. The staff were really helpful with booking our other transport and making sure we could find everything. Although, the BBQ they arranged wasnt really worth the money as we didnt get much to eat each (and it was called all you can eat): The area itself is also a little bit dangerous, but is a good location to get to all the sights during the day.

Filthy bathrooms, uncomfortable beds and disinterested staff. Breakfast was good though.

A very nice place to stay! I've faced no problem, although the streets around seems a little unsafe (the price for being located just in the heart of the Ciudad Vieja).

Good place to stay in calm Montevideo and its charming old city. The stairs are a little steep entering the hostel for untested travelers lugging too much luggage. The place has two kitchens; that makes it difficult to find the fridge where guests can store their perishable comestibles. Still, I worked it out after muttering just a few oaths. Stayed earlier in El Viajero Centro. Think I preferred staying here because of the nighttime noise at Centro. Old City much better for getting shuteye.

Really nice place to stay in Montevideo. The Hostel is very well located and the staff was awesome. Just the equipment of the kitchen could be better. We would recommend this Hostel for your stay in Montevideo!

great value for the money! the hostel has a great location near to most of the sights in the city, at night a bit dangerous to the direction of the harbour. the hostel is really clean and has good facilities, but the 8 dorms are really really narrow! friendly stuff and a great atmosphere in the hostel. absolutely recommended.

The eight bed dorm was very narrow. The underbed lockers were useful though. Internet was good and common areas were decent.

Great hostel overall. The location was good, most things in easy walking distance and they're close to main bus routes if you want to go out to the beaches etc. The staff were wonderful, really nice environment to hang out in, and everything was clean & felt very safe. Minor complaint would be the dorm I stayed in didn't have a lot of room to move in it, although the shared spaces in the rest of the hostel made up for it!

- the wifi signal is very poor, no reach in the rooms at all! - try to use a light or something instead of a buzzer when people are calling to open the door downstairs! the buzzer woke me 10 times during the night! because people getting home every hour! - breakfast is poor but seems to be the standard
