Most impressive about this hostel are the staff which really add to a very pleasant experience. The location is great as its close to the centre, the common area is very nice, there is a nice patio area and a terrace. The rooms are basic but overall excellent hostel to stay at!!!

Stayed here on my way in & out of Colonia and had 2 different experiences. On Sunday the hostel was dead and there was mostly an older (40-50) crowd. On Saturday it was extremely lively, with the hostel hosting a lovely family-dinner style asado with wine and live music. The hostel is very clean, nicely furnished, and the staff are reasonably friendly. Breakfast is standard. Try to get a bottom bunk because the beds don't have stairs & are single beds stacked (unsecured) on top of each other.

Right in the centre this hostel offers all you need. Huge spacious and clean dorms. Good beds. Enough bathrooms and great breakfast. All rooms are clean and the showers great too. Wifi is fast and stable. The staff is professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very good too with a great mix of nationalities and age. Colonia is not big. So you probably won't stay more than two nights. But this place makes it all the better. Top!

Pretty decent place. City is small so the place is easy to find and everything is just a few blocks away. Good vibe. Solarium is nice and good beer next door. Not very clean. Had to take a freezing shower

Great hostel in Colonia! Room has air con, which is great in the summer. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

-Lovely outside seating area and rooftop terrace -Friendly and helpful staff -Good wifi which does reach to some of the bedrooms -Great location just off the main street - 2 mins from old town, 2 mins from supermarket and grocery, 2 mins from ATM, 5 mins from seafront, 10 mins from bus station and ferry port -Air con is provided in the bedrooms if you ask for it -Small kitchen -Basic breakfast of cereal, bread and drinks

I don't understand this hostel's good reviews... The 8-bed dorm was humid and stinky from lack of ventilation. Breakfast is mediocre. The bathrooms were always flooded and the trash always full. And 2/3 of the staff were really rude! Nicholas was friendly and had helpful recommendations, but the other two never smiled, later shouted at me, refused to troubleshoot the AC in the miserably hot and stinky dorm room, and shrugged unhelpfully when my friend asked for basic tourist info.

Good location, some of the staff really bored, some great. The facilities were not fantastic, in my 4 bed ensuite bath I saw a big cockroach coming from the ceiling and going into the sewer. We had asado, which had small portions and was thus overpriced. Luckily there was live singing the evening I stayed, which made things fun! Breakfast not remarkable.

Charming hostel with beautiful interior in the perfect location. The hostel is just off the main Street with shops and restaurants and next to a lively bar. Walking distance from all the sights. Nice breakfast and pretty Outside and roof terrace. Very clean bathroom and bedrooms. Chilled atmosphere with friendly staff. Definitely stay here if visiting Colonia!

I quite enjoyed my stay. The hostel was clean and the wifi was good. My only complaint was that the room I was staying in (mixed six beds) had no windows so it got a bit stuffy at night. I recommend taking part in the nightly asado (10usd/300 pesos with free wine!) The meat itself was not the best, but the vibe was great and many of us stuck around the table chatting into the early hours. PS, though $ARS are accepted in colonia, they are largely valued (as of mid January) on pre-macri levels

Hostel was generally very clean. I was in a four bed suite with only one other person, so had lots of space. There was a locker to store my stuff, and a clean bathroom. (Although very tight especially in the shower.) Only memorable downside was breakfast: the guy who made it put out very curdled milk. I poured it into my cereal, observing the CHUNKS of curdle in my sugary cereal. I had to immediately pour it out.

Very good value for money: nice hostel in a good location. They did a great bbq when I was there. The staff is friendly and available to help.

Staff were friendly and helpful!

Nice hostel in a good location. They did a great barbecue the night I was there. Unfortunately it began at 10.30 p.m. Earlier like 9 or something would be better. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Nice little hostel to use as a stop over after the ferry and before heading up the coast. Comfy beds but only one shared toilet which always seemed to be busy. The rooms gave a toilet attached as well but with 8 people in a room there's a bit of a queue in the mornings. Breakfast was included but not anything to write home about.

Very clean, great location, friendly staff, very clean rooms, great lockers, fun bartender... I would totally recommend! Staff gave me a great tip: check out the beach/ Las Tunas beach bar after you see the town...was glad they gave multiple options of things to do! Nicely put together breakfast too.

A beautiful hostel with helpful staff and great atmosphere. Join their asado, its great value for money and really good food! Please note that all rooms EXEPT ONE has AC, that one gets really warm in summer since its also on the upper floor. Anyways, thanks for a good stay!

Good location. Twin private room upstairs was too hot and a little noisy. There are only one bathrooms for 3 bedrooms. Lucas from reception was great; the other guy was ok.

Nice people, great town and decent place to stay. Organised a asado which was good and made a great night.

The hostel staff were really helpful, and let us store our baggage outside of check in/out hours. They also organised a BBQ for everyone at the hostel which was really good value for money. The location is great - right in between the old town and the bus station so you can get everywhere on foot easily. Breakfast was breads, spreads and cereal. No fruit. The lockers in the rooms were big, ours had an en suite and the shower was hot throughout the day. I would recommend!
