Its fine, nothing to write home about. I just hate hostel that dont let you check in until check in time, even if only five out of 100 beds are occupied.

Good hostel with large spaces and some of the largest dorms I have stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location could not be much better for the price. Similar setup to the other El Viajeros which is great if your staying in different locations.

Had a wonderful time staying there and wish I could have stayed longer. The shower in room 3 needs a longer shower curtain to avoid fludding the bathroom everyime some one has a shower.

Such a nice change of pace! This place has plenty of charm and a relaxing atmosphere. We had a really nice double room. The location was great and we loved the facilities! There was even a resident dog who walked us to and from the supermarket and to the ferry terminal!

Not enough bathrooms, and there were spiders all over our bedroom. It was fine to stay at but the atmosphere wasn't very fun-- there wasn't very much socializing or interaction

Hostel in a really nice building, really short walk to the port & bus station, and the old town. Shower was really good and the breakfast was better than lots we have had in South America. Staff were really helpful.

We had a very nice stay at this hostel, the staff is excellent (thanks a lot to Fede for its kindness), the atmosphere is very good, nice patio, nice living room. I would really recommand this hostel if you are staying at Colonia del Sacramento. We have done several "Viajero hostel" in Uruguay but this one was the best!

Bed bugs!!! Woke up covered in approx 70 bites. Found bugs on my bed covers and told the guy at reception who didn't handle the situation very well. Put me in an empty 6 bed dorm which had dead bugs on one bed and live ones on two others. Didn't apologize or anything. Positives for the hostel included a good kitchen and the guy who welcomed us when we arrived was very helpful and friendly. Colonia is a nice town but this hostel needs to sort out it's bed bug problem!

Great place to stay. Location couldn't be better and ensuites are excelente! Paula and Frederico are great, they make your time there special. I'll definatelly stay there again if go to Colonia. The only thing I would change is the bread in breakfast.

We had an awesome stay at the Hostel. Frederico was so helpful and friendly that he made our stay so enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hostel, and on the basis of our stay at El Viajero Colonia we have now also stayed in El Viajero hostels in Punta del Este and Punta de Diablo.

This hostel had a lovely feel about it. The building itself had a lot of character, yet was clean, tidy and in a great location in the old town. Staff were super friendly (the girls more than the guys!) and in general was pretty chilled out and welcoming.

We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. Breakfast was ok. Location is really near old centre, good for exploring Colonia. Good WIFI. Hot shower.
