Lucas at the front desk was very helpful and knew a lot about the local history.

There is a amazing breakfast. so good location. The building and things are too old and not so clean. The refrigerator doesn't work well

Nice building, location, and staff. Now, the other guests: - girls on room 4, what's so important to discuss between 1 & 4 am that can't wait the next day? - the german nerd ... can't facebook wait daytime ? You are not cooler among your 'friends' now that you are travelling. You're still the same boring geek, so let your roomates sleep. - the guys who think travelling is drinking cheap beers all night overseas. Save yourself a plane ticket, keep drinking in your parent's basements.

Beautiful hostel in good location. Breakfast is good with cornflakes and yogurt on top to the usual stuff. Only bad thing is that the two rooms with shared bathroom (one twin and one dorm) only have one bathroom with toilet and shower in one single room. And since there is no other toilet: if you have to go to the toilet and someone decided to take a long shower you have to hold it...

Muy amplio y lindo lugar, atendido por muy buena gente. Excellent place to rest on vacations in a beautiful and relaxing town. Very good facilities, good bedrooms, hot water, air conditioner. Very good breakfast and very polite and easy going people. Very recommended

Lovely people and a great little hostel right in the centre of the town. It's got a great feel to it with 3 lovely communal areas to chill out in and a good breakfast. The rooms are nicely laid out with good sized bathrooms. Definitely recommended for a stay.

Fantastic hostel. Really helpful staff and good atmosphere. Rooms are very clean and quiet (unlike some Viajero hostels). Maybe my favourite hostel in Uruguay...

The hostel was fine. In a great location and staff were OK. Room was fine, but the bathroom had no ventilation so was damp and smelt of mould. Breakfast is great (bread, cereal, yoghurt, juice) and they have very cheap bike hire. They don't have laundry facilities, card phones or adaptors despite claiming they do (all of which I needed for my stay!). But overall it was fine!

Colonia is very compact, so everything is in walking distance. Very nice hostel, helpful staff, spacious rooms with lots of pillows, very good value for money, wifi good (patchy at times) and even bread for the toaster! Colonia Express - cheap ferry to B.A. - tickets can be bought at the terminal the day before (cash only) and take money with you for the taxi into the city.

Great place to stay when visiting Colonia for one day/night. Had a great welcome when checking in and we were given a helpful introduction to Colonia with recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area.

Stayed 2 nights. Good location but Colonia is tiny. Friendly, helpful staff who made things convenient for me. Good breakfast. Nice common area where I watched the Tennis US Open Final (Djokovic beat Federer, sad) with one of the staff and other guests. We were all Federer fans. :) Good vibe.

One of those places that simply runs well... professionally laid-back.

Great location, right on the edge of the historic district and close to the ferry terminal; friendly staff, solid facilities - everything you need from a hostel. Perfect place to stay to enjoy the old-town vibes of Colonia del Sacramento.
