Smallish room with no window, but convenient location. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Really friendly staff and a great location meant we had an excellent stay at this hostel. We were given good advice and help navigating the town and enjoyed our stay there. Thanks!

The hostal is conveniently located and double rooms are a nice size . Kitchen facilities are a little run down but are ok for a couple of days stay. Internet connection is vey poor except in main areas but this is typical of most hostals in Uruguay.

Good stay. Especially the girl that did my chevk in was super friendly. Just clean out the lockers, they were all dirty inside.

this place was nice, we had the double room and it awesome

Very helpful staff, room and bathroom were great

The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff, particularly a woman called Jasmine, were very helpful and friendly. One night we stayed there we tried the asado, which was both good value for money and very tasty. More importantly, this place has good vibes and a pleasant atmosphere - on both nights we stayed there were plenty of sociable people to chat with and play music into the night.

Nice hostel in a good location, and good breakfast. Staff were nice. Not very thick walls between the dorms and the bar next door though!

We had generally a great stay and are actually regretting not to have stayed another night. I usually don't appreciate use of credit card to be charged extra. It is a service that should be offered for free. And if charge, maybe 1-2% but not 5%. On the contrary the exchange rates given for some currencies seemed too good to be true. Maybe give this a bit of a mix? ;-) Loved the deck upstairs. Flyscreens would be great and buy a new frying pan :-) Thanks you again.. Marko

Good stop off hostel. Basic, which is all you need in colonia for 1 nights stay.

Comfortable hostel, great staff. Thanks again, Paula for your help and graciousness!

The staff at El Viajero was really nice, friendly and hospitable. They were able to answer all our questions and gave us the low down on what to do, which bars to check out, etc. Buena onda.
