Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed In a double room with bathroom.spotlessly clean with lovely white towels. The owners could spend some of the profits to upgrade the kitchen cupboards where the cutlery is kept. They have a large breakfast room that is well maintained. This is a general observation for some of the hostels. While the staff are doing their utmost to run the hostel it is the responsibility of the owners to upgrade and maintain the facility.

One of my favorites hostel in South America! Comfortable beds, great breakfast, beautiful place and the staff feels just like your new family! We stayed 10 days instead of 4! The hostel is perfectly clean, at all times, and the shower is incredibly pleasant. Highly recommended, If you book more than 3 nights, 4th one is free! (And 8th night, etc.)

La pasamos muy bien en el hostel, nos atendieron de maravilla. Resaltamos la limpieza y el orden del lugar... Aunque por sobre todas las cosas la buena predisposicion y la atencion de todo su staff!

Good hostel overall, decent facilities. There's no where near enough indoor communal space for all the dorm spaces they have though. This might be fine most of the summer when it's sunny but a problem if it rains.

i stayed in the 8 bed female dorm. compared to the viajero in colonia, the dorm was VERY small - you can barely turn around and only one person at a time can open the lockers, cos there is not enough space. apart from that I had a brilliant stay, great staff, decent breakfast, good vibe.

Nice hostel. Definitely it's the place to stay if you want to rest. Bigger bathrooms would be nice.

We had a great time!!!! I suggest having maintenance done a bit more often since there were many things that broke, such as the stairs or the place where to put the towels or the toaster. I want to emphasize the excellent staff you have in this hostel, they always tried to fix things as soon as possible to make us feel very comfortable. And they are great people!!!! They were excellent!!!!!

We booked a double room, but we were given a room that used to be a cupboard with a bunk bed shoved in, and a small fan. I'm 6ft and could easily touch both sides of the room and the ceiling in one go! The room also had plenty of bugs. Stay clear of room 1 if you are claustrophobic!

Nice hostel in a nice surf town. The staff (and especially the manager) is really enthusiastic and passionate about running this hostel. Someone from the staff is not very helpful. But nice hostel and the doubles are a good value!

We come for 1 night and we stay 4 nights, La pedrera it´s a beatiful little town, with beaches, and is off season so great to rest. El Viajero La pedrera is superb, staff always willing to help you, always smiling, and we have a nice double room ensuite, with the best relation quiality-price. Breakfast is included (other hostels in la pedrera do not offer it). All in all recommended!

Loved our stay here Lucia, nacho and the rest of the crew did the impossible to make our stay unforgattable. Good location and very clean hostel. La pedrera is the right place to rest before going to brazil I also visit the other el viajero hostels, and they know how to run a hostel.
