Stay was enjoyable. Cleanliness could improve by removing spider webs etc. There's a problem with flies and mosquitoes though I think it's a problem in the area not the hostel. Staff were very nice, however music was on until 1 am or later every day, if you are tired and want to get to sleep earlier, you cohuld hear the music in your room.

It's a really cute place tucked in the forest and a short ten minute walk from the beach. The staff is super friendly and the people staying in the hostel were nice as well. The place was generally clean, but if you take issues with bugs this is not your kind of place. Maybe it's because the hostel is in the middle of the woods, but there were many flies at breakfast and definitely a lot of spiders/moths/etc in the room/bathrooms.

Couldn't bring your own drinks inside the hostel. Big hostel and very few facilities and spaces to chill out.

It's a great idea, located at a great spot in La Pedrera. Being that there isn't really that much to literally do or see there, El Viajero becomes your "go to" spot and it has everything you would need! The people are great and the atmosphere is very chill. It was by far my favorite Viajero Hostel. I would recommend it.

We were 12 friends (all men). We went for a weekend. The hostel was good. It was not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into de hostel......... But you could buy it there !! FOR 5 DOLLAR A 750mm BEER. WOOOW MAN. The rooms where too heat. I mean, at 9 am you were like in a tent at a camp.. supporting 35°C.. You can't sleep well, neither al afternoom. The showers drain was blocked, so you had to shower in 1 min if you won't make a pool. There was no chairs at the garden.

Too many flies!! Maybe a good investment to contract an exterminator and fumigate the house. Other than that, excellent staff, facilities and overall atmosphere was great!

- Rented a private bedroom. So small that there was only space for the beds. No ventilation, full of humidity and bad smell. - Located in a dark area. - Dirty bathrooms. Mix bathrooms only cleaned once. Papers were all over the floor and was really smelly.

Pluses: Nice common areas, good atmosphere, particularly in the evenings. Nice location a bit removed from all the crazyness but still very central. Minuses: dorm rooms are pretty small for 8 people so it´s difficult to even find a spot to put your luggage, two showers for all the rooms, which makes for long waiting lines in the morning; staff was a bit overwhelmed which made for a bit of chaos at the reception.

Staff: most of the members of the staff were rude and not trained, and gave bad treatment. Cleanliness: the hostel needs permanent clean, but it was only cleaned by the mornings. The cleany persons (that were not part of the staff), worked hard, but they work only some hours in the morning, so during all the rest of the day, the hostel became more and more dirty and untidy: eg: towers of paper arround toilettes. eg: flies on every table of the hostel. They tried to make paid non HI member fare.

Excelente experiencia!
