Lovely hostel, best garden and breakfast area! Great value for money in Thamel area!

This is truly a great hostel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable. It has free wifi and the included breakfast is great! The common area is fantastic too--a nice reading room with a TV, and a beautiful garden with patios outside. Plus it's a 5 minute walk from anywhere you need to go in Thamel. Couldn't ask for more! I've stayed here twice already and will be back next time I'm in Kathmandu!

This hostel was very nice. The breakfast reviews are correct - lovely and fresh and big. The rooms are a little overpriced to be honest, and the shared bathroos could do with a re-vamp, but the staff are nice and helpful and the sunny garden is an oasis of calm from the chaos outside.

The owner is really friendly, nice and helpful. He offen offered us Nepalian milk tea and there are also free candies all the time. The room is clean with nice balcony. Breakfast is also wonderful. We stayed 7 days in Elbrus Home and we loved the place!!

A lovely hostel, perfect place to end a trip. Clean, friendly, and quiet! Kym makes you feel very welcome, and is extremely helpful. Only a few minutes walk from all the shops in Thamel. When I return to Nepal, I plan on staying here again! Value for money.

Nice Breakfast

It's a great hostel. Staff is really nice and helpfull. There is a nice garden and good breakfast. We did a 2 day trekking with was great. We had the best guide ever, Deepak!! We had a great time in Elbrus home!!

I stayed here twice bookending a two-week trek to Everest basecamp. I had an excellent experience at Elbrus Home, its staff is very professional, friendly, and show an eagerness to please well beyond my expectations. The hotel offers travel services, tours, bookings for flights and buses, and the manager always gave me accurate, honest information. Book in confidence.

We stayed at Elbrus Home as a couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stays (all 3), we returned from side trips twice rather than try somewhere new! Elbrus is well located just a few minutes walk to Thamel (tourist district) and is well priced (especially when you consider that breakfast is included as well as tea & water re-fills all day). Fantastic garden!!!! Khem & Ali are keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will give advice, tips and help any time. I will come back to Elbrus!

It is just amazing place that you can have some peacein the middle of town, the breakfast just wonderful, the staff very nice and friendly, good time overther, I am sure that I will recomend to all people I know.

Excellent hostel, and staff that does its best to provide best possible service. Including free drinking water, coffee/tea and excellent breakfast.

Cam (the manager) is a great guy- he made us feel at home from start to finish!

Very nice hostel with clean rooms, great breakfast and good atmosphere. The owner himself took us on his bike to the hospital when I needed medical help instead of calling a taxi, which was very kind of him. The only drawback is that the "Double room" was somehow occupied when we arrived and we had to stay in a twin room, which was a bit disappointing.

good location, lovely garden, good wifi. the room was a bit warm, but the staff are brilliant and gave us a portable fan.

That was great stay in Nepal. Elbrus Home is absolutely excellent. The owner is very helpful. He helps you with tickets, bus, airport pickup, etc., whatever you want! The atmosphere is also great, you feel like in home. They also serve tasty breakfast at anytime you want!

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Elbrus Home. Good location, good breakfast and very helpful staff. They were able to arrange transport for me very easily and someone even walked me to my bus. They also were able to store my excess baggage while I went around the Annapurna circuit. Would stay here again if in Ktm and would recommend to others.

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in, and ended up being my base in Kathmandu, as I stayed here for 6 nights. All of the staff are very friendly, and the hostel is an oasis of calm in Kathmandu. Facilities include laundry, a a good sized breakfast, wifi and secure bag storage. The owner can also arrange Mt Everest flights. I had a single room with shared bathroom. The bathroom was clean, and my room fairly large.

This was the second time we stayed at Elbrus Home. We again had a great time, Khem and his stuff are really nice and helpfull at any time. We also met nice people there to exchange travell tips. Shower was very hot. Beautyful garden for reading and relaxing. Next time we come to Kathmandu we will stay there again. Thanks Khem for everything!!!!!! Take care and see you next time.

We had a great 4 night stay here. The two brothers that run this place go out of their way to help, providing free information on all there is to offer in Katmandu and beyond. They even walked us to the tourist bus stop at 6.30am to make sure we got there OK. Breakfast is provided and will keep you going until early afternoon. Excellent location just set back from the busy streets ensuring some peace and quiet. Rooms were clean and water was hot. We would definitely stay again.
