Great stay! Khem was extremely helpful in any way that he could. The rooms were clean, the location is good, and I felt right at home on the rooftop patio. Definitely recommend.

Elbrus was a little home away from home for me. It was easy to make friends because of the gorgeous roof top terrace. It was a also a little oasis where you could escape from the streets below and relax in the sun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was excellent- one less thing to have to deal with in the morning! The rooms/bathrooms were clean. Free Internet access and drinking water were great little extras too. I've already recommended Elbrus to other friends

We had an excellent stay here. The host, Khem, gave us a lot of advice about Kathmandu and helped us plan our activities. They can help with arranging travel, too, which we didn't use but it could be very handy if you need that. The breakfast is excellent and all the staff are very friendly. We came back to Elbrus Home after our trip around Nepal to stay with them again before leaving Nepal.

The hostel is a great place to relax among the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city. I found the owners and staff very friendly and willing to help out with advice for my travel plans. The rooms are really clean with hot water and free use of internet which has a fast connection. Breakfast is great and was including in my room rate which I found to be great value. Would love to come back and stay again.

The staff at Elbrus home made me feel very welcome and were outstandingly friendly. The room was bigger and alot comfier than I expected and its location was a massive plus. When I return to Kathmandu I will definitely be looking to stay here again.

I read all the reviews & due to the couple of very unhappy people, I was slightly wary about what to expect - don't be, it's great! The water is piping hot, the rooms are spotless & the breakfast is great; eggs, toast, porridge, juice & tea/coffee all included. The power everywhere goes out often but there's a generator to keep some lights on. Cheaper would be better but it's worth it for a few days. Great staff. Lovely roof top sitting area. A bit quiet in Nov but not just here, all over :)

Very friendly, and excellent location next to the main Thamel strip, as well as the Greenline bus company. Free breakfast and tea, a sunny rooftop courtyard for stretching out in the sun, free wifi and good security. This is a hostel, not a hotel.

Great accomodation, food and atmosphere! Free breakfast on the rooftop is a great way to start the day. Rooms are clean and spacious + hot shower. Nice location just outside the busy/noisy laneways of inner Thamel. Would definatly stay here again

Elbrus home was very helpful booking flights, etcetera. The staff was very friendly. They were very flexible, when we returned from cancelled flights, they were always able to provide us with a room in the hostal nextdoor when elbrus home was completely booked. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a nice way to wake up.

Elbrus MADE our trip to Kathmandu. They were very accomidating and truly made our experience in Kathmandu. They handled our treking, Everest flight, and everything else we could throw at them. Thanks much Elbrus, and I will be recommending you to my friends.
