All the years I've been travelling, this hostel was the worst I've been at. Filthy bathrooms and toilets, disgusting kitchen used by way too many people, the whole building is very old and lacks basic maintenance...the whole place is falling apart! I've even seen bugs few times. I wish I paid 10 dollars more and got a decent place.

This was definitly not a hostel I would recommend. At the check-in the staff was arrogant and almost offended that we wanted to check in before 1pm. The common facilities were dirty. You have to pay a deposit to get cuttlery and after two days the keycard reader to our room wasn\'t working anymore.

Nice place to stay for the price I paid. People at reception are always willing to help you with anything. However, facilities such as toilet and kitchen were not very good. I found dirty toilets more than once and I saw a few cockroachs in the kitchen. Roomates were kind most of the times but too untidy, rubbish and underwear everywhere in the room... not that I mind, but they could have minded a bit more. As an overall... I'd say 5 out of 10

The sinks and the toilets were blocked, I didn\'t get the room I booked & in the room the trash was piled up the wall! I slept in a bed with dirty sheets, we had bedbugs which were biting and I was glad & relieved when I changed the Hostel after two yucky nights!

Good place for this backpacker, the rooms are pretty clean but the staff is not everytime friendly and the kitchen is sometimes dirty, for the price is for me a good deal because you're close to the center of Sydney

I haven't received a very warm welcoming on the first day, but fortunately, other receptionists were very friendly and helpul during the rest of my stay. I thought that it wasn't very clean at all. Apart from that, the location is great.

location was good (between city centre and party area). cleanliness very bad: toilets were awful and most of them didn't have a functioning light... and the kitchen was a total mess!!!! the doors didn't look very save. most of the stuff wasn't very friendly.

Expensive charges for Internet use, although there is free Internet available at the nearby state library. Hostel was quite noisy (although this was the fault of the guests, not necessarily the management).

Ideal location, when dealing with the city. Really happy with stay, will stay again. Staff could be nicer, but typical backpacker attitude over the counter

Good value- it's a cheap place to stay and you get what you're paying for. The bathrooms were not very well maintained but they were liveable. A few staff members were not welcoming, but overall the activities and atmosphere of the hostel were inviting and helpful. There's a lot of young people there looking to meet people and have fun, but i would not suggest this hostel for older travelers looking for a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Perfect for Uni students on break.

When I checked in, the receptionist was more than unhelpful and was definitely rude. I didnt get told what facilities the hostel had - as in the cafe/bar area, common room etc . I was not directed to a lift as an alternative to walking up 4 flights of stairs to my room. This was not a problem for me but when I arrived at my room to find out I had no linen I had to walk back down and ask for it. And I dont have enough space to even tell you the rest....

Hi Daniel Thank you for your feedback, we truly value your opinion. We find it a bit surprising that you found our staff rude when they nicely upgraded you to a private room for your whole stay without any surcharge, just for your comfort! We do have an excellent location and we are glad you appreciated it and we are trying our best to keep the hostel clean and welcoming at all times. We wish all the best in your traveling! The hostel was ok but nothing special.

We stayed in a double room for 2 days. The bathroom are clean and the rooms as well. It is not located too close the the nightlife, which was positive, you have to walk a bit to reach POI or metro. Kitchen can be busy in the evening, some cooking plates were broken. People at reception were ok but not really friendly or smart. Internet was a bit expensive and PCs very slow. the free tour was very nice. In general I would suggest it. In Sydney you can find worse places for higher prices
