I used to stay in Hostels rather than Hotels, I still have to admit that Elisabeth Guest house I was disappointing in terms of value for money. The size of the room was fine and we were gently welcomed by the owner. Surprisingly at this time of the year, the weather was a bit cold in Vienna and no heater was provided in the room. The bed linnen seemed not to be perfectly clean and the very small toilet towels were smelling filthy. This was obviously a bummer.

It's one of the cheapest hostel which I found on that time in Wien. It's a good place to stay if you don't expect at facilities or other things. The owner speaks english very good and he can suggest places where to go in Wien. The price I think that is reflecting in the quality of the hostel. For me the location was very good because is near the train station and near the underground station

Not really a hostel - more like separate apartments in one house. Owners were not in at the time of arrival so make sure they know your arrival time and confirm they will meet you! We have spent half hours under the doors, hungry and tired from road, until they shown up. Rooms look better in real lie than on the picture here

The old lay who received us was really warm in nature and extremely sweet and helpful. The Location is a bit off but not very far from the Wien Westbahnhoff station. There was only one shower for 6 people and WC separate. And No Internet!

People running the guesthouse were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Rooms were big and comfortable. No internet but close to metro and nice place to stay if you are not the partying type. Only about 10-15 minutes by metro to city center. Recommended.

The furniture is a little old but it is clean. The lady who receives us is very nice and the subway not far. One advice : they should really install Internet/wifi, it is a real plus for young and always connected people like us =) PS: the grosseries of the neighboroud close at 6 p.m. on saturday

Double room bed was good, but room was quite cold on end of May (2012). Hair dryer was hidden in kitchen's closet. There was towels and kitchen many equipment. There was no washing machine for clothes. I think it is very good place to sleep, when outside weather is warmer. For me it was easy to find. I used student agency bus to get Vienna, then I used underground trains to get very close to it. Needed to walk something like 200m from station. Place is near to one church. A bit far from centrum.

This was such a wonderful place to stay - the rooms are clean and comfortable, it is close to transport links to all the major sights, and the staff are welcoming and offer great tips for travelers. The rooms have a real cosy and homely feel that we haven't experienced alot with hostels or other guesthouses. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Being a former pension house, it surely has a lot of character. Location was just a stop away from westbahnhof, and 10 min walk to the nearest metro. The beds were cozy, except on certain corners of the room the heater didn't seem to reach very well. Kitchen was well equip and bathroom was separated from toilette, which was great for us cos we had to share them with other guests. Staff were super friendly, even when we arrived at the dead of night. They also cleaned our room during the day.

no wifi, the bed sheet is very dirty. It's very cold at night. The hair dryer can not work. We had a very unpleasant stay.

the place wasn't clean every thing is stored below the beds (blankets and covers) to go to the shared bath you have to pass by a very cold corridor out of the appartment when we cam we couldn't get inside because door was locked and no reception... the reseption is a room in an appartment of the building... the rooms smell very bad.. beds covers an not good in comparison with what we paid.. we exepected better service like other hostels we visited before.

It's the perfect place if you only need a place to sleep in Wien. We spent most part of the days visiting, so didn't stay much at the hostel. It is a bit old school, but the lady is very nice and speaks very good English.

It is good for people who really doesn't care of the hotel and stay there only a few hours per day to sleep! the only good thing in this hotel is the cheapness! so if you are a group of students looking for the cheapest accommodation it is for you.. if you want anything more, search it somewhere else! the bathroom is IN the room in a wooden box... vienna is really expensive for the accommodation, so if you want a good hotel you have to pay more than 60 euro per day!
