The hostel itself is ok, but they have bedbugs! After the first night I went to the reception to show my bedbug bites and the woman i spoke to didn't take it serious and said it were just sand flies. Later on I even found bedbugs in the room and luckely her colleague was way nicer. But still, i didn't get a refund or whatever and i'm covered in bedbug bites (around 100 - 150) now.. Afterworths I heard other stories about bedbugs in Elkes as well. So please, don't go to Elkes!

In fairness to Elkes, this Room was checked by professional pest controllers after the said complaint. NO pests were found and there has been a constant array of backpackers in the same room with absolutely NO Complaints and NO BITES ..... Just be a little mindful of what you do report on this site. All complaints of any sort are taken very seriously, but obviously I was correct in my ascertaining your bites were in fact Sandflies!!!!! or indeed you may have bugs in your own luggage!!!! Have a nice day
