We were both very impressed by the varied selection of DVDs available for guest use. We were disappointed that the accommodation type we booked did not accurately reflect the accommodation type we were given when we checked in.

Great little hostel in Dunedin. The rooms were spacious and the facilities were fairly good. The staff was awesome and gave wonderful recommendations! I recommend this hostel for anyone staying in Dunedin!

Toilets and showers are a little out of the way but the linen was clean and soft and the house was quiet. Super friendly staff. Parking might be a squeeze for some.

I've stayed at many backpackers and none have equaled Elm Lodge. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If I ever go back to Dunedin I know where I will be staying.

only reason for choosing average for location is the way to it is extremely steep
