Beds are very bad. The rest was good but not perfect. But good for what you pay.

Value for the money. Its a calm place and easy access to Manchester city centre.Facilities are ok and the staffs do a tremedious job to keep the hotel clean...though there are some pros and cons too..well overall its ok to spend some night when you go to the uk.The shared bathroom and toilet are kept clean..

It wasn't too far from the city and the host was quite friendly. The only letdown was the shower facility. We were not sure if the problem lies in us. We simply couldn't get the right temperature for the shower. It was either too cold or too hot. Other than that, the stay was generally satisfactory.

Elton Bank is a simple and cheap Hotel. The value fro the money is ok and it is near to the Bus station where you can go to the city centre almost every 2 minutes. The bus to the airport stops there too. The rooms are very simple but clean. We took the continental breakfast for 2 Pounds, which was absolut ok, we got cereals, fruits, toast, tea/coffee and juice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Negative: shower efflux was very slow and so you stay with feet in wat

Charming small hotel facing a park on the periphery of a Middle Eastern quarter (Rusholme). Rooms are modestly but well pointed and have sinks, while the bath is clean and nearby. Downtown is walkable if you like to walk and, if not, there's plenty of direct buses. Staff is friendly and helpful. Airport isn't far (and it is on the related bus route). Excellent value for the money.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Having a good bed and own hand wash facilities were very advantageous. Own table/chair and tv made it very easy to relax.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Very clean bathrooms and rooms. Our train was delayed by an hour in London so we were late getting in but the staff were very helpful in ensuring we made it safely. They also gave us excellent guidance in terms of getting around. Although breakfast not being included or any communal spaces were a downside.

this location came to us at the end of our journey and was not quite what we were expecting. It felt like we were staying at someone's grandparents place, but not ours. Just a kind of strange feeling is all.

The interior of our room was pretty old and nothing like the picture shown on hostelworld.com. It was also a bit smelly, like it sometimes is with old stuff and especially carpets. But the owners were really friendly, the bathroom was small but clean and the location is quite good. It's quiet but you got a good bus connection to the airport and the city centre and it's in walking distance to the university and the Academy venues.

A very clean, quiet hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Great place to stay, smack bang in Rusholme, a cool and studenty area. Loved the old-fashioned decor! Very good value for money! It's ideal if you want a quiet and relaxing stay, it's most definitely not a party hotel with loads of drunk teenagers, more for down-to-earth ppl of all ages!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. You get what you pay for. Very dated rooms and decor which had a strange feel, but was clean and secure. Excellent location for the curry mile and good for manchester university (approx. 20 min brisk walk). Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

I was greeted with a very warm welcome, and found the accommodation to be very good value. Excellent location for my visit, as I was doing some research at the Costume Gallery which is just over the road. However it was also very easy and quick to get into town, I both walked and caught the bus. Lots of places to eat just around the corner on the Curry Mile...

Probably due to the time of year and US being in the very top room)Amazing place to stay. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and had all the amenities in. The prices were really cheap for what you got. We parked there over night and the car was untouched in the good size car park. The only complaint I could make is that the shower wasn't very hot(

Overall we enjoyed our two nights stay at the Elton Bank Hotel. Staff were very friendly and it was a short 40 minute walk right into the city centre. The hotel had its own charm to it. We had the 4 bed deluxe room with en-suite. the room was clean but the en-suite was very small and the shower had very little warm water and pressure. plus the door was just a roller shutter so there was little privacy
