I had such a lovely time staying at the Embassie. Kevin, you are wonderful! All of the staff are so friendly it's just such a family/friendly atmosphere. Even where it was the middle of winter and only a few of us where staying, I made good friends with my roommates, and had a lovely stay. I really appreciated the friendly atmosphere. Not many showers but as it was quieter when I was there this wasn't an issue. Thank you, all of you very much for being so kind and helpful I really appreciated it

This hostel has the character than so many others throughout the UK sorely lack. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank-you to the wonderful staff

The staff was amazing, really kind, welcoming and friendly! It's really nice to stay in the living room talking to fellow travelers and members of the staff. The room was alright, mattresses were comfortable, toilets and showers good. Nice place to stay!

This hostel was great. Staff is really nice and kind. They serve free ticket of cavern club and you can get discount of beathles story. And whenever you can drink free milk and juice and tea and eat bread and jam.the hostel is clean. But location is not that good and shower space is so small.

Really enjoyed the building and the location was wonderful! Really wish I had been around for the Thursday Night Beatles tour but had a wonderful stay anyways!

Had a great time hearing all about the history from Kev Sr and chatting away to the rest off the staff there. Everyone that worked there was more then happy to have a few pints at a local pub unless they had a broken leg. If I had to explain it any better I would say it is a funner friendlier version of "Fawlty Towers".Highly recomment it as it has a great vibe and is a place that you feel at home.

We stayed during the off season so this review might not really reflect the hostel at other times. The staff were VERY strange, always using the computer, not giving a s**t about the wifi not working despite us telling them 3 times. Erin and the Kevins were great though. The place wasn't really clean, the kitchen was often filthy, the "cleaning" often involved them spraying bleach around the place. The hostel was a bit far away but not crazily so. Common area was very average, no couches etc.

Owner Comment (Show)
the cleaners work everyday, so if the kitchen was messy it is the guests at the time who are being inconsiderate to each other and leaving a mess. At the time of your visit a glass of water was spilt on one of the 2 free computers, so one was in demand, a second computer has been ordered, . The couch,s had to go because guests were using them as beds. KMark

The hostel provides me a warm and clean enviroment. The owner, which is a super football fan, is very nice. The staff are helpful. The bed is clean and comfortable. It is well located, there is a garden outside the hostel. It is not difficult to find the way, if you follow the direction given by the hostel.

A nice homely hostel in a quiet location, near to a supermarket and just a few minutes walk from the cathedral and China Town. It would be useful if guests had some sort of receipt so the staff know who is entering at all times, but security was good (lockers available).

The Beatles tour on a Thursday is a must-do. Really good kitchen, pool table and even sky tv. Really good hostel.
