If you're fed up with big and impersonal hostels this is the place to stay at. Good place. The Beatles tour was awesome, too.
The staff were helpful. Free breakfast and wifi is always awesome as well! If you're a Beatles fan, make sure you are there on a Thursday for the night tour run by Kevin and free admission to the Cavern Club.
If you are thinking about this hostel: DO IT. I promise, you won't have any regrets. It was by far, 1 of the best hostels I've EVER been to. As a Beatles fan, Kevin Sr. did a fantastic and very informative tour (Don't miss it!) without charge. Free warm towels, free coffee/tea/toast 24/7. The community there is something you'll never forget. Known as the "love hostel" where so many people have gotten married from meeting there. I booked a different hostel & ended up trying to come back to stay!!
Friendly staff that make the effort to get to know you and hear about your day. Kevin (son) did free fish and chips being match night...they were really good!! The daughter? was rude to staff who live there..also seemed to have more staff than guests staying here, with them staying in the dorm room all day making you feel uncomfortable when you returned. Very unclean room, uncomfy and noisy bed. Room door never shut and heaters left on in room when unattended. Lockers in room but had to pay depo
