It was my first time visitng Florence! the location was superb, 5 minite walk from the Duomo! our room looked brand new! Clean and very spacious. The air conditioning was great. The kitchen was convenient. Would definetly recommend staying here, its perfect if you want a central located, clean cheap stay. would definatley stay here again if i was to return to florence.
We were upgraded to a private room which was really nice. Really great location, took five to ten mins to walk into the centre. Not sure how good it would be for a lone traveller just because it wasn't massively busy but maybe that was just the weekend we were there. Overall nice hostel.
When we arrived we got upgraded to a private room which was nice. However - it is true, they make you leave the property between 11-2 for mopping. And once you leave you cannot Come back until after 2, Which can get annoying if you get in really late and have to get up and leave by 11 which is what we had to do. The wifi works ok, and aircon ok too. No real atmosphere here, but a quiet place to stay.
The place is very average. You might as well stay in a hotel. It's super expensive, and you need to pay for everything. They charged us for towels and to mind our bags for 6 hours. It is really small and has no atmosphere. The staff weren't overly useful either, but were polite. We asked were we should go at night, and their response was don't bother Florence has a bad night life. Which is wrong. Our room also stank like a dull musk. Keep in mind for two people were we're paying 77 euro/night
Handy location, very clean and staff were friendly. 5 mins walk from the main train station, 5 mins walk to the centre of Florence and only 2 mins walk to the leather markets.
1-2 extra bathrooms would be good, because sometimes there was a line. The beds seemed nice at first sight, but where really squeaky, i heard everytime the person in the bunk above me moved. There were also handy small reading lights for each bed - but nowhere to plug them in, as the rooms only two outlets were used for charging peoples phones and cameras. The common area is pretty nice, but nobody was hanging out there except at breakfast, so it was not so sociable.
Good location. We stayed in our own double room which was nice and the bathroom facilities were good. But they need to update their payments because you can only pay with cash not card
Great experience, the aircon was extremely welcome in the euro heatwave. Staff was friendly &showed us around and booked us a tour. Comfy beds and clean bathroom. Would definitely book again. Great location, five min walk to train station and just down the street from a ton of cool restaurants and shops. The area had a trendy college vibe mixed with tourists.
Wonderfull hostel nearby the main attractions of the city. I will definitely stay again in this hostel. Highly recommended.
Very close to the main Florence railway station and San Lorenzo church. Friendly staff and they speak English, so that's great. Place is very clean. The bed is okay, not so comfortable. On the negative side, breakfast is poor.

After experiencing this hostel for three days I can say other reviews were vary far off. Room was clean, cold, and the staff was attentive and helpful ( I don't mind a bit of snark). Breakfast was light and wifi was spotty at best in the rooms. No odd smells, bathrooms were clean and staff accommodated some very annoying and demanding idiots regardless of their complaining in an effort to compensate for the guests mistake.
Lovely hostel with fantastic bathrooms, decent wifi and data stick staff. The woman who runs the hostel is incredibly friendly and makes you feel taken care of. We had a great stay here and made lots of friends. Only problem was a lack of social areas, we were asked to leave the outside area around 11pm and had to go to the park nearby to continue talking. Everything you want to see in Florence is within walking distance. Would stay there again!
Good points. Location only a short walk from train station, close to markets, supermarkets, banks and cafe's. Good bathrooms, single beds not bunks and secure lockers for packs. Bad points. Rooms advertised as aircond. Ours was not. 1 small standing fan trying to cool 5 guys down on 36 degree C days-it was a sweatbox. Kitchen has no stovetops and oven did not work. 10 Euros for laundry is expensive.
The manager is fantastic and very accommodating.
The hostel was overall great. met with a lot of fellow travellers and it is also well located. I would recommend staying there.
This place was pretty nice and close to the train station. We didn't have exact change to pay so the receptionist went to the bar across the street for us. The rooms were really clean, except for the cabinets/shelves. They offered breakfast for free which was nice but it's basically toast and coffee. Overall it was a good experience but should be noted that there's no communal area to hang with others at the hostel.
Super clean and fun. A little outside the pub scene, but good location overall.
So this hostel was just not good. It wasn't dirty or just unpleasant but there was NO atmosphere and the fact that the hostel closed from 11 to 2 for cleaning was a little ridiculous. We were kicked out of our rooms almost every day, and at that yelled at when we weren't out at the correct time. There isnt too much of a fun and inviting atmosphere. There IS air conditioning which is really necessary during the hot Florence summer. Its not too far from everything you'd want to see so that's ok.
