AMAZING! I absolutely loved my stay at the Emerald Palace! It was the cleanest place I've been to, and the staff really made me feel at home. Everyone was super friendly, and I love that we got free breakfast, haha! Nutella is great!! The decor in the place is also really great, and fun! And I felt very safe! i highly recommend the Emerald Palace to everyone!!

Nice clean comfortable hostel. Not terribly close to anything of interest. Breakfast is simple, but free - bread/toasts with jams and Nutella. No lockers in rooms but lockers in common area which were plenty big for valuables (but not for a whole backpack). Booked a four bed dorm for three nights but had five people in our dorm the first night - I think they had overbooked. Not offered any discount for the first night even though they added an extra bed to the room. Staff somewhat abrupt.

The Emerald Palace is terrible and disgusting!! The staff didn't check the passport of customers, so that our room was occupy by other tourists. They didn't apologize, only arrange a far and dirty B&B guest house, We can't even find the staff for help. Furthermore, the price of almost the same. (2 Euro less only) It was too late to find another hotel, what we can do is accept. We got a uncomfortable and unhappy night at there.

The hostel is ok however I have stayed at other hostels in Florence and there are a lot of better options out there for the same price (and in some cases cheaper). The staff are friendly enough however lockers are outside the room which is a pain. There are a few cupboards to put your stuff in the room but not enough to go round, the hostel also has no air-con and fans so the windows are left open all night - not good when there is a busy road below. The lockout is also quite inconvienent.

Very clean and the main woman who works the front desk is great, the other 2 were just indifferent. Large spacious rooms, only 3 bathrooms but the hostel was full and showers/toilets were never a problem! Would definitely stay there again, just a little far from the city center, about a 15-20 minute walk, but in a safe neighborhood!

The bathrooms must be cleaner. On Sunday, no cleaning in the bathroom.

Ok spot. Wasn't the highlight of our trip, but it served it's purpose by providing a bed and washroom. Staff were helpful and friendly, but were not always accessible. Great location for the major sights and train station. Room was quite small, outdated and lacked curtains to block out the bright morning sun. Breakfast was white bread and coffee. We felt it was a little pricey for what you actually got. The neighborhood has a shady vibe at night. Recommend this bike tour tuscany-biketours.com

Our stay here was fine. Relaxing place with 3 showers and close to the main terminal. There are 3 security doors, many lockers small and large, also near a bus route that seems to get close to all the sites. The staff was very helpful with giving directions and where everything was around town, good places to eat, shop, grocery stores, etc. Made the trip that much easier. Morning espressos were great! The place was very clean and the whole place was tided up everyday while people were out.

We ended up in the second hostel.. it was nice. Had smaller rooms, so less people per room! No locks on the doors, which was strange, but it seemed pretty safe. Lockers are provided. Rooms were nicely furnished. Staff was helpful/friendly. Another hostel that charges for storage of luggage after 1pm, which I do not agree with! Nice garden area to eat breakfast. Would stay again.
