There is no key for the mixed dorm - only for the front door - and no lockers, I guess ... had to take all my stuff with me! No that nice people ... no that clean ... But near the Square with bars an music.

As noted in other reviews, it is not a hostel in the normal sense of the world. There is no kitchen, lockers, arranged pub crawls etc, but everywhere was clean and the location is very central and convenient ( Maybe a 15 minute walk from the airport, with a backpack). The manager was very welcoming and the price was ok for Gibraltar. I would be happy to stay there again.

This is the only hostel in Gibraltar, so doesn't have much to live up to. The map on hotelworld is really in the wrong place, it is very central, 25m from the main square (on the corner behind the pizza hut that is being refurbished). There are no lockers, or locks on the doors, no kitchen - important in a city which closes at 8pm so you can't even eat out!

Easy to find walking from the border, and close to everything. When we arrived no one was at reception, so we were locked out. When we tried calling, no one answered the phone. However, when we returned maybe 10 minutes later staff was back and made no indication that they hadn't been there all along. Wifi only works in the cafe, and there are signs indicating that no outside food is allowed. Staff speaks minimal English, but fluent in Spanish. Make sure you have UK converters. It is clean.

We had a terrible time at Emile hostel. We came to Gibraltar for one day and arrived around noon. No one was at the hostel to check us in or even let us in... We had to wait two hours for someone to come. We had all of our luggage which made it difficult to go do anything in the meantime. It didn't completely ruin our time in Gibraltar, but it made it so we couldn't hike to rock before sunset which is something we really wanted to do. Your hostel is way overpriced for terrible service...

The Hostel is clean, the baths are clean, floor is clean...its all clean. If have a hostel was about be clean, they will be very good Hostel. BUT, the place where is will sleep is not a hostel, its a Pension next door. So there is no reception, you pay to have a shared room with some strange people that are not travelers. But they are nice people and well, I was there for 7 days and nothing bad happened so I'm happy in general and I will be back if I need it. So Its good place and good people.

Excellent location, within walking distance to the airport and really close to Casemates square and the bus station. We ordered beds in the 6 people dorms, but they gave us the 2 people rooms, which was a very nice gesture, but the beds didn't seem very clean, and facilities were sparse. The bathroom facilities were a bit spartan but were always very clean. Don't know if the situation would be much better at a different hotel, but I wouldn't stay at this hostel again

I spent a couple of nights here and was very impressed with the reception I received. The management were most welcoming and supportive - I really couldn't have asked for better. The location is convenient too, right by Casemates Square and everywhere else I needed to be - being able to walk to the airport was a welcome novelty! It was a real experience to be back for the first time since early childhood and the hostel really helped with this.
