Good, clean hostel. Around a 15 min walk to the nearest subway and the breakfast was just toast and jam. The transfer bus from the airport no longer takes you to the hostel so you will have to get a taxi which costs around S$22. Otherwise, a good budget hostel with very friendly, helpful staff.

Hostel has a nice atmosphere and it's full of backpackers. The only problem is to get in! There is no sign! What is worst sometimes the stuff is not there, so You have to wait outside.. I have to wait for 2h!! Also the location of the hostel is very bad - for the nearest MRT station is about 10-15 minutes of walk, although there is a bus stop close to hostel. It's clean and breakfast is included in price. I didn't like the rule that I have to put off my shoes.

It is about 10 minutes walk to the next MRT station. Just read the small prints before booking. There is an additional 10% Service Charge due and if you stay for only 1 night $3 extra per person.

The new location is rather far from the centre. At first, we got lost. and the staff seem not to be helpful as we called many times but she seemed not want to answer us. But after that, when we come, stay, asking for information, she was very helpful.

Very clean, great dormitories and nice staff, at the end of Serangoon road but at 300m from the MRT Potong Pasir, very handy. Go stop at Yassin 24h restaurant on ur way down to Little India!

Unfortunately angeles city has limited selection of hostels. This was the most we paid for a hostel in all of asia and the room was far from the best room. For the locaion and that city its good value for your money but for asia as a whole it certainly isn't. The staff was friendly and nice. The showers had pretty much zero pressure so you can't get a good shower. The rooms were basic but clean and had a tv and AC which is a bonus. If your staying in this city I would say stay here

Even though the place is fairly cheap, it's new location (now a considerable distance north of Little India) means that whatever money saved must now be spent on transport! The easy-going staff and chilled-out atmosphere of the place, not to mention the massage machine, made up for it, however.

The address online when I booked the hostel was wrong and it ended up taking me quite a long time to find the hostel, it's kind of in the middle of no where above a restaurant and it has no sign at all. This frustrated me to no end, I was just lucky I had a Singapore phone. Other than that initial frustration, the hostel was clean, the staff was friendly, the beds were comfy. The neighborhood has nothing really but it's safe and quiet. Free wifi and relative privacy.

Empire hostel just moved to a location that is convenient although not right in the center. It is 2 MRT (metro) stops away from Little India (Potong Pasir MRT stop). It is brand new, very comfortable and more of a relaxed hostel than a bustling backpackers one. Massage chair at no extra cost!

I was enjoyed stay at empire hostel, but a year ago, i stay at syed alwi road, and i prefer stay at syed alwi, better than opal cresent. But i think it's not a big think, my suggestion, please make sure your hostel clean before u opening for customer.

Owner Comment (Show)
Our Hostel Room Description CLEARLY states that this is NOT an aircon room. We have not ceated any one. Please read clearly. Now we have move out from the old premises. New hostel is now fully airconditioned with new renovation.
