The staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful, assisting with arranging my visa and bus for Vietnam. They also provide many helpful tips regarding attractions in Phnom Penh, what ATMs don't charge fees, and various scams to look out for. The rooms are simple: mattress on the floor with a fan and mosquito for each bed. They also provided lockers, each equipped with an outlet so you can charge your locked up belongings. No free breakfast but you do get free laundry if you stay 3 nights!

Robert, the guy who run's the place, has made a few good improvements to the downstairs lounge area and is adding new items to the guesthouse menu. He,(Robert) is a VERY HELPFUL GUY when it comes to information and is always ready to tell you who has the "deals" and where to go to get them. As well as who has the lowest ATM rates!! And if you need help, with ANYTHING, Robert WILL DO WHAT HE CAN TO HELP EASE ANY DIFFICULTIES THAT MAY ARISE!! All in all, Nomads, is excellent value!!!!

The hostel is well located. I slept in a 6 bed dorm (bed bunks) with private bathromm and air con. The beds were very comfy and in general all was very clean. It is true that other rooms have the mattress on the floor but look great anyway. In general, i think that is a good hostel if u r looking for a good/modest quality-price. The puppy they have is sooo cute and is usually outside. I recommend this hostel.

Didn't like how you couldn't close the doors to the rooms let alone lock them. It felt very unsafe. Also the hostel owner was a bit **, they also have a new puppy which bit my friend so probably not the best place to have an untrained dog

Owner Comment (Hide)
All our dorms have lockable doors and guests are given a key each for their dorm. Not sure why you say you couldn't lock the door, and you didn't mention having trouble with the door during your stay. The puppy is 3 months old and of course a little playful, as puppies are. He is on a leash most of the time but some guests play with him and he can get a bit over excited (puppy being a puppy). But we are keeping an eye on him.

Don't let yourselves be fooled, you don't have unlimited free laundry here anymore. But apart from this the hostel is a good place to stay and the staff is very helpful, nice and talkative. We enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely place to stay. Robert was very nice and gave us lots of good advice. The hostel is well situated near the market and the tuk tuk drivers were great too! They offered free pick up at the bus stop and had a restaurant with affordable prices (western food). They also provided lockers and a very chill atmosphere.

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Manager Robert runs the hostel with firm hands and is a great story teller ands has lots of information of the city. Room with 4 beds has no windows. Showers with cold water only. Breakfast ok.
