We had no hot water in the morning and nobody answered the telephone that we had to call for an emergency. It was a terrible moment for us, because we had run the media race of San Sebastian and we were cold and wet because of the rain and we had to bath with cold water.

This is a good place both for a one-night or for several-days stay in Donostia: many rooms, spacious, good facilities, good value and at the heart of the heart of this great city!!

Urban hostel is in a new location so make sure you go to the new hostel opposite the big garden/park. I arrived at the wrong location late @ night and luckily had the hostel phone number & the kiwi guy that works there Josh came and rescued me on his long board such a cool guy!! The location is great & hanging out in the kitchen of a night time you'll meet heaps of cool people you can go out & party with. Downside they shut u out of rooms for a couple of hours some days so carry coat with you!!

We were away from the main hostel in one of their apartments in the centre of the old town. Was really good to have our own 3 room place when we were expecting a 6 bed dorm. The staff were very helpful, friendly and easy going. The place could have done with more seating and communal area and the back room was very loud thanks to the neighbours. Also only having 1 key between 6 made coming and going logistics really annoying.

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff was amazing, extremely helpful & fun to hang out with. The atmosphere was so laid back, it was the best place to end my trip. Made my graduation extremely awesome!! ;) See you all in 3 years!

Before we even arrived they were on top of everything. We received a confirmation email from them withour reservation number and a little note saying that they were excited. The staff provided us with a list of places to get great Pintxos at and they were all great. The people that stay at this place are really cool as well. I recommend it 100%.

This hostel is by far my favorite one. Having stayed in numerous hostels around Europe I find that Urban House has everything one is looking for in a hostel. The location is amazing, five minute walk to the beach, close to grocery stores, pintxos bars and so much more. The common room is the best I've found with a great opportunity to meet other travelers. Sara, Jens, Cody and Josh are the friendliest hostel staff I know and they make everyone feel at home.

The building is a little rickety but the awesome surf vibe of the hostel totally makes up for it. Plus you can get bikes and boards there for super cheap. It's colorful and open and the staff are AWESOME. I was there my last two nights alone and ended up hanging out both nights with the guys who work there. Super chill. And Sarah, the manager, could not have been nicer. Can't wait to go back to San Sebastian, and I will for sure be checking in on this hostel again! Thanks for a great time guys.

This is a decent hostel for the price. The building is really old and it got a bit drafty at night, but the rooms and toilets were all clean. The staff was extremely helpful--when we asked for recommendations for good places to eat, the girl at the desk marked a bunch of restaurants on our map and even named a few tapas to try at each one. The lockers in the rooms are tiny, but there was luggage storage near the reception. Overall a positive experience.

Some of the facilities, namely the bathrooms, need a little bit of work but otherwise it´s a great place to stay. The location is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is good and free internet on the netbooks is a nice touch. Just be sure to stay there when the weather´s good, as it was raining while I was there so I didn´t get to enjoy the beach much. Regardless, San Sebastian is a great town even if the weather´s not cooperating.

I love Urban House! I've stayed there four times in the past four months and it was a great experience each time. This time I was unable to make an online reservation for the three nights that I wanted, but when I showed up they were able to fit me in no problem, and that wasn't the first time they did that for me. The staff is really friendly and extremely helpful about places to eat, stuff to do, and bars to go to at night. I would recommend tis hostel to anyone who likes meeting cool people!

Overall, this was an okay hostel in a really central location and very good value for money. However, it was UNBELIEVABLY cold in our room both nights we were staying (in April) with no heating and a draught coming in the window. When checking in, we were messed around a lot and ended up spending 3 and a half hours sitting waiting for our room to be ready and to be allowed to check in. We were then given a very weak apology and nothing was offered as a condolence.

The common areas were quite good. The atmoshpere was quite good. There were small lockers downstairs, locks on doors, and i'm happy with the security aspect. But. I had an allegic reaction to the pillow, and the blanket was a bit thin for the weather... the shower leaked and had panes missing in the widow... the place has a lot of potential but is somewhat overdue for maintenance, of the old fashioned kind: above all, laundry, with a bit of plumbing.

It's a really cool hostel. Great kitchen, facilities and chill-out place. Great Internet connection. The employees are not super dedicated. They often look hangover, but they will help you if you ask to. Great atmosphere to meet new people. I loved this place, and especially San Sebastian! I recommand it. Definitely.
