Understaffed, making even daily maintenance fall behind schedule.

Only one shower out of three on our floor worked. No elevator. Excellent location, have to expect its going to be noisey.

Standard hostel with most of the comforts, kitchen not so well stocked and the free breakfast whilst appreciated is simple so you would probably need more still. Beds were a bit hard but overall nice enough, would stay here again

It was pretty dirty and had a bad smell in the room. The beds had wire poking into your back. The showers and toilets were always broken. The location is prime however, in comparison to rival hostels. Right near beach and next door to pubs, cafes, clubs, shops. The guy who runs it was very nice and sweet. Bit of a party hostel, which is sometimes cool

Location was good but the drama that came with this hostel was not worth it. Very dirty, unwelcoming, Very poor Wifi, No common area, kitchen opens at 10am and closes at 10pm, No washing facilities. The owner was the most un friendly person i have met on my travels so far and he is hardly ever there. We had to wait 2 hours to check in because he didn't have anyone working for him and was out doing his own thing, he left a note saying 'be back in 20" I waited for 2 hours. Do not stay here!!!

Great location but that's the ONLY good thing. It was filthy!Only one guy working. He was rude & grumpy.Hardly ever at reception.Very unorganised. We had to wait while he sorted our rooms. There is no cleaners.I stayed 5 days and my room wasn't cleaned once!Covered in sand and dirt.Bin never emptied so I slept next to a huge pile of rubbish.Kitchen & shower filthy.Only 1 shower worked.Constantly waiting for it.Hardly any lights worked.Very dark and gloomy.Over priced. No common area.Wifi badDon't go.

The bed wasn't clean or made when I arrived. There is no lockers or other things like that to keep things safe. And the wifi doesn't reach to the third floor, so I was constantly sitting in the stairwell , which is annoying.

Located between the big beach and the surfer beach (5 min walk to each). Lidl supermarket is 2 mins away. The bars und clubs are also close to the hostel. Rooms are average. The staff is very funny and always good for a chat. We met a lot of nice guys in this hostel and had a great time in SS!

Had a nice stay here, it's more like a home than a hostel. Owner (forgotten name, sorry!) was amazing - organised my kayak tour

Amazing location right in the heart of the old town. But thats it, the beds were falling apart, the kitchen was gross, the bathroom was full of mould and only one of the toilets had a toilet seat.

The owner was so lovely but I just don't feel I can give it a good review. Pros: Location in the middle of the old part of town was PERFECT! Cons: Very limited breakfast No real kitchen, only one hot plate Lights didn't work most of the time Noise at night (unavoidable when in such a central location admittedly) No lockers or form of security Staff rarely at reception Very expensive For the amount we paid I'm sure we could have found something better had we booked earlier

It is one of the most expensive hostels I've stayed at and for the condition, I didn't feel it was very good value. No lockers. Reception open at 10am until 10pm. No share room. No really clean. Good location.

Breakfast starting at 10 am is too late if you're interested in going out in the morning. But the quality is fine. No lockers+ doors with non automated locking system...does not make you feell safety regarding your values, because probably you room mates leave the door open so if someone from outside manages to enter, your things are not very protected, even if nothing lacked during my stay. The hostel is not bad, but please put clean sheets and pillows! In this way you can improve a lot.

Great location, quite clean. Not really any common areas, the kitted is a bit small to hang out in and the beds were sort of uncomfortable but overall a decent place. Would probably stay here again

DO NOT Go THERE!!!They have surf boards standing in the small floor and they arent fixed on the wall! The receptionist accidently touched one of them and broke the nose of my girlfriend. They did not have a first aid kid just toilet paper and the staff did not knew how to help. She wanted us walking to a doctor although my girlfriend was shortly unconscious! How can one put surfboards that are not fixed in a small floor! A kid would have died!!!! There was no saying sorry of noone! Worst hostel

Location is incredible for beaches (5-10 minute walk), bars, restaurants, sight-seeing. Staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly, joining us on nights out or surf trips, keeping the place tidy despite the regular turnover of guests. Toast and cereal are provided for breakfast and there is a hot plate and pans for cooking. Showers worked extremely well. Wi-fi was weaker in some rooms, but this never struck me as a problem. I happily watched an episode of Breaking Bad on my phone.
