Disappointing I stayed here before and in a lot of ways it a great hostel but its gone down hill. Breakfast - is cheap and nasty, cereals = horrible, coffee = horrible, juice = not juice and horrible. Wifi on 2nd floor constantly not working - staff don't care - come on ? Pay extra for top sheet - come on ? Extra city tax not included in the TOTAL BILL - come on? You have to pay a euro extra to pay by bank or credit card - come on ? There are a lot cheaper and better hostels around

Nice hostel with pleasant staff and very convenient location between golden museum triangle and main plazas. They have their own restaurant which is very good, but breakfast is not included and you have to pay 2 euro additionally to get it. Showers are inside each room that is convenience and inconvenience simultaneously, especially when somebody comes late while other are sleeping. There are lots of tours including, free one and pub crawling, all together creating great and festive atmosphere

I loved this Hostel, one of the best Hostels ever.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, even when I wasn't asking for help. Stayed for 6 days and I would have had to move 3 times in a mixed dorm of 12, so they put me in a female dorm of 8 free of charge.I was watching tv on my down time and it was in Spanish. A staff member passing by asked me if I spoke any Spanish and when I said no, he put it on the English setting for me. They have great suggestions for things to do in the area. Only con: annoying fees for blanket, lock, towels, etc.

So huge hostel chain. So everything is well equipped. But if you want calm and relaxing atmosphere, this hostel is so festive and loudy.

Good location, easy to find, full breakfast. Loud noise from youth guest. don't suitable for otther guest except youth.

Excellent location.Silly hidden costs included though (you have to pay for towel, blanket, locker,).Also the internet is not total free as advertised. You get 20 mins free only. Please note EXTREMELY squeaky bed frame on bedroom 312 should be checked (bed no 6).

The wifi was spotty and it generally didn't work in the rooms. You had to pay to use their laptops. They had a great hang out/kitchen area. The location was great!

The wifi did not work in the rooms, only in the common room and it wasn't very good. Also, the blankets are not provided, you must pay for them. The location is unbeatable and the facilities are clean, we also had a nice view from our room.

Breakfast isn't brilliant, but otherwise this is a good hostel. Helpful staff, good bar/lounge which is open late and decent rooms. Easy to meet people in the bar in the evenings if you're travelling alone. Rule 1 of travelling is have a padlock and a towel, apply it here and you'll avoid the 'hidden' charges everyone else is moaning about.

Excellent location! The bar is a nice place to chill out and meet new people. Took us a while to check in as only one person doing it at the busiest time. Apart from that, staff were friendly and helpful.

It's pretty much a perfect hostel. After staying here, you will be disappointed with every other hostel you go to.

+ location excellent, breakfast also good for a hostel (cereals, bread, milk, butter, fruit, snacks, cofee and juice), the building great condicions and atmosphere - not so clean as we expected and some of the staff was not that nice. However we recomend this hostel, for the location it was a plus! Metro/subway in front of the hostel

There is a lot of extra cost. The hostel is cheap to attract people and then extra this extra that it comes out to an other price.

Good: Nice place to visit Barcelona downtown. Accessible for sightseeing and go out for eating. Bad: bed covers to sleep are not included, you have to pay for every single obvious item like that. Internet speed is too basic.

Very convenient. Staff is helpful and nice. Met lots of cool people here!

Breakfast is very limited and the walls are not too thick so you can hear others easily

Equity point hostels are consistently brilliant, this one however is easily the best I've been to for overall experience. The staff at reception know the area well and are particularly enthusiastic to help (directing me toward some of the most spectacular food establishments I've been to). I will be coming back to Barcelona and Equity Point in the future.
