If you want to sleep, don't bother

Everyone gets kicked out at midnight so pregaming is a pain. Some rooms have weird massively lofted platform beds. Noisy (even in my 6 person room that wasn't full). Staff wasn't particularly helpful. I guess it was cheaper than anywhere else I looked for the rating. Pub crawl was cancelled after we inquired and we weren't informed until we waited a half hour. No top sheet or blanket included, we froze, other friends said their rooms were really hot.

This is most defiantly a youth hostel--12-18, groups of them. There is no stove or oven, only a microwave. Breakfast was only loaves of white bread and 3 types of sugar cereal, no coffee. I asked the desk of some good places to eat and was told McDonalds and Burger King. Everything costs extra- towel 3 euros, blanket 2 euros etc. wi-fi does not work in rooms and only worked 25% in social area. Typical chain hostel. There are many hostels in the gothic quarter, I don't recommend this one.

This is a standard hostel. It promises great rooms but they are really pretty average. Organised events at nights which is good for meeting people. Good showers. Charge for linen. Good location. Not great, just good.

I have stayed here 4 times before, and have always enjoyed it. However this time, the member of staff who was working when we checked in (AM on 26th May) was so unhelpful, and so rude that it has made our group consider never staying there again. Not only did he display a total lack of common sense, or desire to help, but was rude and dismissive in the process. The rest of the staff were not like him, but I think Gothic Point should sit him down and teach him about customer service.

The constant flow of reggae music was not appreciated, especially during the early morning and night when trying to get some sleep. I thought it was very rude and inconsiderate how the staff would come in to clean the rooms and shout to each other from across the room when people were trying to sleep. Yes people come to Barcelona to party, but after a long day or night you deserve to get some decent relaxation (which is what you're paying for) and that was impossible here.

The working staff at the first night is really cold and unwelcoming.

If you wan't to enjoy your trip and visit the city, I don't recommend you this hostel. If you want to party, come back drunk and stay at the hostel only for sleeping, then it could be the one you are looking for.

Very nice hostel, cool room set-up, but the kitchen was very subpar - really all they have is a fridge and microwave. Also, the rooms are very hot at night and there doesn't seem to be any AC, but overall the hostel was worth what it cost.

This place is WAY better than Equity Point Centric, for sure. We loved the character of the rooms and enjoyed the vibe we got here. Great place to stay and very close to bars and such!

Such good value for money, right next to a metro which made traveling around easy!

Large, with good-sized washrooms and showers. Kitchen was small so we had to prepare our meals in the common area on the tables. One night the people in the next room were noisy, and when I notified the staff they immediately took care of the problem. Great atmosphere with cool decor, and the free tours you could take were great! Wi-fi worked more or less in the rooms. Was unfortunately very difficult to find because we took the wrong exit from the subway. Otherwise, great hostel.

Great location, big lockers (you can have more than one), the showers arent so great and the breakfast is really poor. There are a lot of places to go eat around though.
