breakfast is great!! you will regret if you miss it. However, my room is next to the stair and i cant sleep well when people walk up and down on the stair. wall is thin so noise is the main issue.

This hostel seems to be geared towards large tourist groups. From outside looks amazing, from the inside ... less so. Color line system - while great idea - was very badly implemented and thus confusing. It's really hard to find a way to it from Paddington station. And for amount of money I've paid I expected much better standard.

The problem with this hostel was poor ventilation. You don't want to suffocate your customer, do you?

The shower in the double room is extremely small, almost unusable. Only downside to an otherwise very good hostel in a great location.

convenience and helpfulness are its best points. A lot of people manage to squeeze into the building though space is used efficiently. I thought the one sheet and one blanket would be a bit cold but it was ok. had the 4 bunk bed , en-suite family room which was a good idea for privacy, security and noise angles.

Staff - very kind and willing to help Rooms - clean, comfortable beds Security guards were very nice and friendly. Price - good price for what you get Breakfast was very good - 3 different cereals, yogurt, milk, coffee, juice, plain and wholegrain toast, butter, honey, jam, cedar cheese Location - 5min of walking to Hyde park and 15min to Oxford Street (the best location) I really enjoyed staying here. All you need is locker or you can buy it on reception (3 pounds).

Just like everything else in London, it is small. Bedrooms could have less beds to make it a larger space to move around. they are very close together. Building is old, so I believe that is the reason why it makes soooo much noise when people are walking and talking in the upper and lower floors. I needed to stay for a night, so it was ok. Staff is great, very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again for a quick stay.

Overall a good hostel but paying for wifi and card payments is a bit shameful in the hospitality industry.

The place is really nice. The location very convenient close to a metro, train and bus station so you can easily move. The facilities super nice and clean. The only thing that was missing from me was free Wi-fi. The breakfast is included and is really good. I highly recommend this place.

In general a very nice hostel, though I think they quite often have problems with organization and wrong booking: I came back late one evening and realized that someone else was sleeping in my bed and had to wait then to be given another bed (problems with luggage etc).. They said they thought I'd already checked out?!

Location is in WestMinster..within walking distance to two tube locations... Security guard was rude..very loud, busy hostel. Thin walls, Charges for internet. Internet went down while I was there and they would not give a refund. Would not stay here again. Nothing spectacular. Breakfast is just toast and cereal. Nickel and dime location.

I only stayed one night, but I was pretty impressed with what I saw, and I'd definitely stay at Equity Paddington again

Pretty crowded rooms (8 bed mixed), good breakfast, good location. Need to rent/byo padlock for locker, same for towel. Pretty circumstantial system, extra fee if paying by credit card and maximum three payments total, even if you are a group.

Some hostels I stay in section off an area/rooms for 'professional' visitors to sleep in and not all mixed in which makes the noise issue far better. I was the only male in a room with 6 females, all tourists, half of whom went out partying until 0300hrs and then made noise when they came back in. I think it would idea for this place to have the same idea where people that really need to sleep can share with others the same. The location is amazing though and the building nice.

The room was nice- I had gone for a 4 bed room just so it would be a little quieter. Unfortunately, it seems the majority of the 4 bed rooms are right next to the wooden staircase that services all of the other rooms (I've stayed there twice, and both times I was next to the stairs, although in different rooms). Subsequently, you were kept awake half the night by people running up and down the staircases. I would recommend staying here, it's just not worth paying the extra for the 4 bed rooms.
