The place is still not finished but it has a great character and the owner is doing an excellent job. Great place overall.

I've been to various hostels in Montevideo, this one is the best. Cool stuff, familiar atmosphere, best locacion, chill-out on the day, fun in the evening. The whole package just fits

Nice location (great empanada and pizzeria close by) and helpful staff. Very laid back. Sometimes had to wait for bathroom. It's an old building so a little shabby, but staff keep it clean. Lovely garden.

It's a good place to save money and meet cool folks, but my dorm was next to the road and cleanliness isnt the most important thing for those rockers over therr.

Booked for 2 nights, stayed 1.Very dark,kitchen-disgusting,only 2 bathrooms.1/3 lights worked in our room & u had to be tall & jump to turn the fan off.Rooms were not sound proof AT ALL.We waited until 11am for our "breakfast included" which never came & the excuse was "I slept in." People were waiting 4-5 hours to check out because the owner was sleeping.Workers were lazy & service non-existent...& we were asked to rate it 93%.Only positive-we got our money back for the extra night we'd booked.

New hostel which is coming together well. Great hosts and vibe, in a small hostel. In good neighbourhood, easily accessible by buses and foot...

The truth is: the rooms are not good, the bathrooms neither, and I wasn't able to lock my room when I was inside. But the staff is excelent, really nice people. They made barbecues, people were playing music. Nice atmosphere. As the name says, it's a place to rock, but don't expect much confort. But its a nice experience

this is a new hostel, and a vrey good one. the staff is very friendly and helpfull. the place is small and there are not many people in so you will feel at home. sometimes there are problems with the water because of the area and the breakfast is basic. the hostel is very close to the main beach, but a bit far from the center. this is the cheapest hostel in the city so it is really worth the price you pay. the best thing in the hostel is the atmosphere and they have a big garden.

Stuff, is incredibly friendly and the hostel has a nice familiar atmosphere. Perfect to relax if you had a couple of hard nights in Buenos Aires.

Probably one of the best hostels we've encountered during our 4 months in South America. Great kitchen, spacious bathrooms (as opposed to alot of other places where the toilet is right beneath the shower), really friendly staff, very good wifi and lovely atmosphere! Since it's a new place, they're very keen on being super helpful and nice. Location is surprisingly good for the price, thought slightly difficult to find, with a supermarket two blocks away and the beach just a ten minute walk away!

Amazing hostel. Even though they're quite new, improvements are being done every day. The staff is amazing. They didn't just answer questions, but actually went out of their way to solve every problems guests had. The location is very good, outside the old city where its dangerous, yet close to many interesting locations in Montevideo.

The private bedrooms lacked privacy and comfort, with no curtains on the windows or keys to lock the doors. Worse of all: impossible to sleep there. The guests are very loud and stay up until late night at the hostel drinking and talking trash and the staff doesn't do anything about it. The whole place is not very clean and the showers won't work properly. Reservations get mixed up and they won't solve the problem. Disorganized, frustrating and not worth the money at all.

I found the hostel a very good place to spend your days in Montevideo. We spend there the new year´s eve, with a special dinner and view of fireworks. The staff are very fiendly and make you feel very confortable. The conection with the city center is quite good by bus and also to the terminal. They are starting and have some things to improve yet, like the internet acces for example and the bathrooms.

Lots of work to do yet as they have just started, but nice people working and staying there. The location is very calm, with walking access to the harvor and Pocitos beach. 15 minutes by bus from the old town.

Do you wanna rock 'n' roll? This is the place! I felt like at home! Very very very welcoming staff, since the first minute. Excellent atmosphere! The bar and the lounge area in the back yard is very tempting. Princesa is the queen of the house, watch out, ahah. It's not located in the very centre of the city, but is central to 2 beaches, buses, Tres Cruces central bus station, commerce, shopping centers, bars and Parque Rodó. Couldn't have stayed in a better hostel for my Christmas! Sí claro!

Wonderful hostel, the way a backpacker's place should be. Started by 5-6 lovely folk from Montevideo, they'll show you around town, take you out at night and make you breakfast in the morning! Having travelled for a very long time this hostel comes highly recommended! La onda es buena, si estas en montevideo este hostel es el lugar para quedar!

This is by far the cheapest hostel in Montevideo, and there are reasons for that: it´s still a bit of a work in progress, and it´s a bit away from downtown. However, I would definitely recommend it -- it is clean and comfortable with easy bus connections to the terminal and downtown, and the couple that own it are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

A new business that was still being finalized when we arrived. The staff and owners were very helpful with regards to information on Montevideo and did everything they could to make sure our stay at the hostel was great. They were extremely friendly which gave the hostel a very homely feel. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped and the location is excellent. We had a great experience here
