Hostel isn't in the center of the city, which is pretty much all there is to Blois. It was also deserted when I was there at the end of August, which was eerie and not very interesting. But I got a room to myself and the staff was great.

You can eat in the hostel (self-service).
The hostel is really clean and cheap!

Of all the properties we stayed in, this represented the best value for money. Rooms are basic but good, the staff were excellent and the breakfast was substantial. We would definitely look out for these properties in the future.

This was a GREAT all around hostel...it was just a long walk to get there...and not the cutest neighborhood.

Very clean, but a long way from the centre of town.

Nice and clean place. Was hard to find, there is no number in the building, but is something like 30 minutes walking from the train sattion. Very clean and the people are helpful.

I regret that I have lost objects that I had left in my room, including items that had been moved by the cleaning lady.

Not a bad hostel, but nothing great either. Did have good breakfast and would be good if you want to stay north of the city.

For us, as non-French speaking people, it was very hard to communicate with the staff as we arrived late in the evening with the main doors locked...

The location was the worst thing about this hostel: quite a walk to the train station or the center of town, with nowhere nearby to buy food. At least there was free Internet (on ancient computers), but no free breakfast. I didn't see or meet any other back-packers. It wasn't a terrible place to stay by any means (except for a strange smell in the endless labyrinth of hallways), but I would recommend somewhere closer to the town center if you're using Blois as a base to tour nearby chateaux.
