Run like a hotel, they are fairly friendly to face, but don't expect this as a place to hangout. The lounge area is tiny, right in front of check-in and is the "kitchen" too. Meaning it has a hot plate to warm something. The rooms are decent, showers have warm water, but are not constant making for a rough go fiddling with controls. Free storage is a plus, but the RUDE wake up an hour before you need to check out is not appreciated. Also, if you have friends they are not allowed to rooms. :(

I would check beforehand how warm the rooms are. Our room was boiling when we went inside and for some reason it stayed that way for a long time.

The place was really nice and enormous. The staff was amazing, everyone was very polite and friendly, they tried to help you with anything you needed. I felt really comfortable there, it was very clean and neat, and the location was good enough, you could walk anywhere... but it was Amsterdam, of course the best thing to do is to ride a bike. I would surely consider this place again on a next trip, the only con was that my room was in the 3rd floor. No lifts and the stairs are long and short.

Everyone was super nice, it is a budget hotel, of two star standard, bare that in mind, I loved it personally, the owner is super nice, Spanish guy nice guy and person, guy with beard, super nice, New Zealand guy gave us free coffee when we were going, which was lovely and appreciated, offered to store out bags for the day for free to collect later. Waking up people in the morning to tell them they have to check out is NOT DONE! Especially entering the room with a key without asking the people who sleep there for permission is over the limit for me!!! Ok, it's a hostel, you can't expect comfort as in a hotel, but I do expect some basic friendliness and privacy. You could at least knock the door and wait till someone opens it in stead of just running in...

A great hostel! Very friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms. Great that the lockers were inside the rooms and not out in the hallway, felt safe to leave your things at the hostel. Great location, very central - a walking distance to almost anything you wanted to see. The only thing missing was a kitchen to cook your own food in and the temperature in the hallway toilets were freezing. We would gladly recommend this hostel!

We could not take a shower at 9 o' clock in the morning because the water was steaming hot!

The hostel was dirty. I flushed the toilet in the bathroom on the second floor and it backed up into the sink.

There is no elevator in the hotel and the steps of the stairs are high. The water in the shower often suddenly becomes very cold. One morning the desk clerk opened the door to my room and came into my room without asking permission. il n'y a pas d'ascenseur dans l'hôtel et les marches de l'escalier sont élevés. L'eau de la douche souvent soudainement devenir très froid. Un matin, le réceptionniste a ouvert la porte de ma chambre et entra dans ma chambre sans demander la permission.

Beds were very unstable and broken. Could also use a bit of added charm or something the hostel is very boring and bland looking. Staff were decent and helped us with pointing out sights to see

Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, had everything a hostel needs to have. Unlike other hostels I looked at did NOT charge triple rate for weekend nights!

Love this hostel. Not the nicest in town, and its a little ways from the main attractions, however the staff is great, and there are plenty of things to do in the area. Especially enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
