Actually we liked to stay in this hostel. It is a clean and good located place. Two things we didn't like: The off odors from the bathroom coming from the bathroom. The breakfast was very "basic" But very friendly and helpful staff.

Superb location and excellent value for money make this hostel worth a look. It doesn't have the greatest sense of community, but if you're looking for a quiet private room (ensuite) in the middle of old Istanbul, you really can't beat the price. Rooms are not luxurious, but are more than adequate, there's a cute little roof terrace where a great traditional breakfast is served, and the staff are all very nice and helpful. Would gladly come again!

It was low season when I stayed, so there was only me and one other backpacker - therefore not much of a party/fun atmosphere. The dorm was big, spacious and clean. I'd imagine during the busy times this place would be a good place to party and hang out with others. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and breakfast was tasty. Free wifi and a rooftop terrace (no views over the old mosques, but you can see them when you're out!) where you can chill out. I'd recommend it for sure.

Overall it was a good hostel with a very good location. They did however made a mistake with our booking wich was made long in advance, and me and my brother had to share a bed the last night. But over all they were good and I would suggest.
