Great place in a great spot -- clean rooms, big kitchen, nice roofdeck, and helpful staff. A bit pricey, but all of Sydney is. Recommended.

Faculties were very good. But the rooms felt really dated. The furniture could really do with an update

Really liked this hostel. Caters for the older/international backpacker (i.e not just full of British yobs on the pull). Extremely clean with fantastic bathrooms. Very friendly cleaner. Lockers in rooms, spacious dorms, bed lamps and deals when you stay for more than a week. What more can you ask for? It is a bit of a walk to the CBD (about 20 mins) but Kings Cross has everything you need (supermarket minutes away, restaurants, bars..). Would definitely recommend.

While some staff were very lovely and friendly, others took unhelpfulness to new levels. And we were given dirty sheets to use. A private room offering a reasonably quiet night's sleep. Not the worst hostel we've stayed at by a long shot but far from the best.

Spend the extra $4-8 and stay here. The 10 bedroom dorm was super clean, as well as the toilets and kitchen. Staff was friendly and the location made it easy to save money by walking to most places, but also having easy access to transit. Rooftop patio was a bonus, multiple bbqs and lots of seating. Others claimed it was the nicest hostel they had been to in Australia.

GREAT LOCATION, OUR DOUBLE ROOM WAS GOOD & THE BATHROOMS VERY CLEAN & TIDY. MANAGER WAS VERY HELPFUL, EVEN MAKING AN EXCEPTION & ALLOWING US TO STAY EVEN THOUGH WE'D FORGOTTEN TO BRING OUR PASSPORTS!

I had a good stay here for 4 days. The location was very nice, especially if you walked away from the main street in King's cross which has some strip clubs. Also the facilities were very clean and the people working there were nice. Only the main kitchen/sitting area was a bit small for the amount of people that can stay in this hostel.

Got there at 23.00 in the evening. Closed, no one opened. Had to check in elsewhere. The place is in the middle of the city. I choose a place close to Bondi beach instead and found that location much better.

I loved Eva's backpackers and if i go to Sydney again i will be staying there. Its so close to everything. The train station is a 2 min walk. Close to the city, bondi ect ect. The rooms are very very clean and so are the showers! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Theres a brilliant kitchen with free coffee :))) Free wifi. Room to chill and watch tv. Lots of info about things to do in Sydney and info about day tours. Stay there. Oh its easy to make friends here if your backpacking by alone

Loved the en-suite bathroom, best I have ever seen in a hostel! Lovely, clean, modern and use-able kitchen facilities! Would have appreciated Mosquito nets on the windows however and the internet is very slow, but other than that, had a wonderful stay and the rooms and cleanliness were spot on!

I had a great stay at Eva's. I was in a double room. The bathrooms were immaculate! There was a bit of noise over the weekend but it came from the street not from the hostel and it is in Potts Point/Kings Cross after all! Staff friendly and helpful, kitchen facilities were good and the roof terrace was lovely Only disappointment was that I had a blanket instead of a doona (duvet) which felt a little unclean to me. I know there was a top sheet between me and the blanket but still....

The only thing to complain about: I booked a 6 bed female for, but had accommodation in a mixed dorm. In the end I was the only girl in a men's room and felt below par.

We had a very good stay at this hostel. We had a clean double room. The bathroom was next to our room and was as clean and good as our bathroom at home! There were different bathrooms on our floor each with toilet, shower and a lavabo. The kitchen was good too! Nice place to eat and everything you need to cook! We arrived at 11.05pm and the reception was closed... we did not know this as on the hostel world booking website it states 24h reception. However, the friends staff still let us in!
