It is a kind a challenge to find a hostel especially when you arrive the first time in Liverpool. I recommend this hostel.

Rooms were clean. No internet access in the room even though they said there was. Asked for a late check out but it was a no go and cleaner in room at the stroke on 11am. Bit of a walk in but in the summer this would have been fine. Room had access to a garden which was great for smokers. Would stay again.

Really really nice place. Probably the nicest hostel I've stayed at, ever. They don't treat you like a tourist to rip-off, but likethey want you to feel comfortable and welcomed. The breakfast is great. Even free laundry and internet -- the things you miss most when traveling!

I enjoyed my stay. I would have been more helpful if there were some good places to eat hot food nearby. The walk to city centre is a long walk.

Great common area, great rooms, great people. Staff were helpful when they were around. But it seemed like other visitors had a harder time getting help from the staff. (I didn't need much help.) It's a bit of a ways from the city centre, but it's easily accessible by a few buses that go right by it. There was free unlimited fruit when I was there (a plus!). And a small kitty (another plus!). No complaints.

it is really far away from the city centre. it takes one hour walk. i stayed in a 8 bed dorm. it is good to have one kitchen and one bathroom in the dorm. the bad thing is only that the toilet is really smelly. i saw toilet water leaking out from the edge between toilet and the floor. and when the bathroom floor is wet, it is very very slippery. Dangerous!!

I stayed only one night, but no problems. The room had kitchen and toilet, so very practical. The area is not the best, but is only 15 min walking from Lime St Station. The best thing is price!

The room was so cute & the staff was very nice & friendly. A great value for the price! The only thing I was disappointed about was having to pay a late check in charge. I thought it was unfair to be charged extra for spending less time at the hostel. Other than that, my room & stay was lovely & I would absolutely recommend the place!

It was easy to find but a fair walk (20-30mins) from the rail station and central Liverpool. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had it's own computer, kitchen facilities and bathroom! However the bathroom was quite run down, the shower curtain and bath disgusting. I think it was old rather than dirty but it made it seem unclean. I left at 7.20am to catch my train but at this time breakfast (which they said starts at 7am) was still not served which was disappointing.

At time of writing (Oct 2011), they have a playful kitten who roams around the ground floor common areas. The common room is bright and spacious with several couches, a large dining table, kitchen and tv. The hostel is a fair walk away from the main tourist areas, but it is also on a bus route with service to the university and city centre. The common areas and bedroom were reasonably clean, but the bathroom in the basement dorm could use a very thorough cleaning, including the ceiling.
