Location is amazing, with the sound of the waves putting you to sleep, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problem was rats - I didn't see any but my boyfriend saw a big one scurrying under the bungalow, so we decreased our length of stay for that reason.

Carrie is great - really nice to talk to and will help you as much as she can. A couple of the temporary traveller staff there at the time could be a bit stand-offish (and one was super lazy and unhelpful unless you wanted a conversation about their life) but that's not a huge problem. The bungalows are right on the gorgeous beach so the location is amazing but there are other places on the beach that are the same price or cheaper - and they have generators for the power cuts!

Good: The staff and owner were really friendly, and it's right on the beach. Bad: Very run down. Very unorganized. Bathrooms weren't cleaned once and there was never any TP. Moxie nets badly need to be washed. Rats & although visitors are expected its best not to encourage them by not emptying waste baskets. Dorm never cleaned. None of the fans in the dorm worked properly & they were needed esp for the price. Had to ask twice for change of sheets after last guest. The price, not worth it!

Great place - sand here and there as you're on the beach. Small price to pay for paradise! Two cute cats around the place that may or may not spend the night on your bed with you :)

I stayed at Everythang for two nights and had a great time, despite the very sandy beds! The location RIGHT AT OTRES BEACH is amazing (far from town though and not quite as crowded as the other beaches, staff is friendly and speaks quite a decent english and Kerry, the owner, is incredibly helpful and even took us on a tour with the jeep. Would definitely come back!

This is a really welcoming place right on the beach in a great location on Otres Beach. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful and moved us to one of the beach facing bungalows after our first night. The bungalows are basic but clean with plenty of space, mozzie net and fan. The bar/restaurant has a really good laid back atmosphere, the cocktails are amazing! We stayed there for 6 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommended.

Everythang has an outstanding rat problem which doesn't seem to be of much concern. We had a rat in our room in the afternoon where it chewed through clothes, toothpaste, Kampot pepper, and also chewed through a backpack. After noticing the rat problem in our private room we were moved to the "dorm" where the rat problem continued as you could see and hear them running around the room and up the walls. We ended up spending the night camped out in the bar with some other guests.

Atmosphere was good here, everyone was friendly and the hostel is right on the beach. There are powercuts often (one lasted for 4 hours) which is quite annoying, especially as they are often when it goes dark and there is no back up generator. I can't recommend this hostel because of the rats. They chewed through my friends leather bag to get a piece of chewing gum and climbed in her bed. The owner wasn't really bothered and said one had just been in the shower with her but she was used to it.

The bad: I stayed in the shared dorm and the bed sheets were definitely not cleaned beforehand. They smelled terrible, Power outages were frequent (2 in 3 days, one lasted 4 hours), and the bathrooms do not seem to be cleaned daily. The good: the location is incredible. The beach is 20 feet from the hostel restaurant and they have beach chairs to lounge on. The wifi is fast. The food is pretty good (try the fish taco!), and the staff are very friendly.

Booked for one night and ended up staying three. The owner and staff are lovely and very friendly. Relaxing, calm, chilled atmosphere. Only issue were the bathrooms, the doors could not be locked, and the floors were always muddy. They didn't appear to be cleaned daily. Right on the beach, it was the perfect place to rejuvenate.

Fantastic location right on Otres beach. You wake up with a view of the ocean and step out on to the sand. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay very much. The owner was really friendly and helpful, place had a nice chilled atmosphere. Food in the restaurant was really good too and reasonably priced. The only negative was the owner had two dogs which were barking a lot through the night and kept us awake for a while.

Great location. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Mexican food and vibe is a great idea and has potential. The bungalos are cool but they are exactly that (bungalows). Showers are average but hey, the beach is on the doorstep. At the end of the day the location of this place is amazing. You fall out your door onto the beach. It's much quiter than serendipity beach and a lot nicer. If you want to cut loose, a tuktuk to town was only $2 max.

We did reservation one day before we arrived to this resort, when we tried to check in to our double private room the owner told that they don't have any room left and we can't have our private room. Instead she tried to offer dorm room right next to the bar with same price, and after that she said that they are going to have big party today and there is going to be lots of noise. Didn't feel welcome so we changed place.

The staff were a uninterested, unfriendly, unwelcoming and lazy which compared to the previous owner was a very big shock as that was the reason I re booked. There was no food available and very limited bar due to refurbishment which I was not told about and on arrival was not told about the food but quickly realized. Thank god for the bamboo shack next door which have amazing staff and excellent food, they saved the day.
