This little hostel offers a kind of family-like home for your stay. A free drink or pizza seems to be very common, cause they really appreciate any human being. You will easily get in contact with them and they are always aware to help. Nikola, a former guest&Brandon do a great job organizing cleanliness at night and giving company exploring the diversity of NYC. The lesson learnt from Montreal / Quebec during thanksgiving weekend is to book ahead! So yeah sort of got stuck with this place north of the city away from everything. Little Italy is nothing to rave about. The place itself positives were that it did have a bit of character i guess. But that didnt make up for the poor security (the lockers were a joke), the average social vibe, the cramped conditions, the stupidly massive TV with constant static and only like 4 channels and 1 dirty shower!!!The lesson learnt from Montreal / Quebec during thanksgiving weekend is to book ahead! Internet, big tv, tea and coffee, "breakfast" -peanut butter on white bread toast- . and most importantly an air matress!!! 30-45 minute walk to city centre but an enjoyable one. Definitely not the most thriving hostel but if you want the good service of the basics without making friends or helpful advice this is as good as you'll get for this cheap. This place is not right in the center of the action, it\'s a few miles away from the main shopping and tourist areas. However, it\'s right opposite the metro so transportation is quick and convenient. It\'s also need places for food, a supermarket and it\'s simple to get anything you need. As a base for exploring Montreal it was fine, although the rooms are quite cramped and it wasn\'t a very comfortable place to be if you wanted to relax with an evening in. Very good value for the price, howeve...MoreThis place is not right in the center of the action, it\'s a few miles away from the main shopping and tourist areas.
