Definitely the best budget accommodation I have ever stayed in. Incredibly clean; friendly, helpful staff; all essential travel facilities and many extras (ability to borrow iron, guide books, on-site fitness centre, access to kitchens, restaurant, free Wifi etc) and by far and away the best inclusive breakfast I have ever had, including hotels and country clubs 4 to 10 times the price.

This was the perfect place for our trip to Prague. Just outside the city centre, close to local bars and a bit more of the real Prague, but close enough to the city centre (10 mins tram). It was clean, well organised, friendly and quiet. For the price this place was amazing. It's not the place to stay for a romantic weekend. But for a good place to lay your head on a budget..you couldn't ask for more.

Don't think for a second that this is a hostel. It's a hotel. That being said, don't book anywhere else-this the cheapest and BEST place to go. There's a wonderful breakfast, helpful staff and beautiful, clean rooms. My only regret? I never got to have one of their massages or go in the sauna. Perhaps on my next visit...

Great place and value for money. The Monday to Friday staff are top notch. The weekend staff are terrable except for the one man night late receptionist (forget his name). Location is far from center, but some good night clubs near by. Restaurant staff on weekend not good.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the Xtol Hotel is. The staff at reception extremely helpful the accommodation was very clean and spacious. As my first time in a youth hostel i wasn't sure what to expect but the whole experience was very good. I would definitely use it again and recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.

This is a hotel not a hostel. Very nice for the value that you get. The website advertises a jacuzzi and hot tub but they are not available unless you pay extra. There is a restaurant located in the hotel that serves really good food and a free breakfast every morning.

Excellent value for money and conveniently located near public transport just out of the old centre. Spotlessly clean and secure.

It's excellent place to stay. Surely value for money (£25/night/private single room). 15-20 mins away on tram from the old town. Great staff , good breakfast and very clean place.

Extol wasn\'t too busy during an off season stretch, so we had a shared bathroom (1 for 2 two-person rooms) all to ourselves. It was very modern and cleaned well daily. The basic room also included a breakfast that was great - large and plentiful selection of food and morning beverages. Staff is very professional and polite (but do not expect an overly warm welcome or cozy atmosphere). Not really a place to meet fellow travelers - if that is what one is after - but great value for the money.

A nice, clean hostel in a residential part of the city only a 5 min bus/tram/metro ride from the city centre. There are plenty of bars/shops/banks etc in the area although some tend to close before midnight. The Extol also has an excellent restuarant.I have stayed 3 times before and will definately stay again on my next trip to Prague.

Positives: EXCELLENT directions from airport VERY clean safe neighborhood. Large buffet breakfast with traditional Czech food. Caution vegetarians. Temperature controls in rooms allowed to check in early tram stop very close more hotel than hostel. GREAT value for cost. Negatives: OUTRAGEOUS cost to use computer @ 2 crown per minute 1 hour transit from airport to hostel no community atmosphere ROCK HARD beds in twin ensuite staff helpful, but no warmth 15-20 from city center by tram
