Location, location, location! This was my first trip to Europe and therefore my first European Hostel. The entrance was dark up 4 flights of stairs and at first glance inside the hostel, it was dark, drab, and man cave-ish. We were lead to our room (room 3 I believe which was by far the best suite in the house) where we had a private step out terrace overlooking the plaza mayor. The bedding was fresh and room was clean (atleast this room). The shower/shared bath left little to be desired!

Location can not be beat! Balconies overlooking Plaza Mayor. Nice living room for chilling out or for rainy day activities

I had a great stay at Fabrizzio Guesthouse! The bed was more comfortable than mine at home and the make-it-yourself breakfast was very convenient. I would definitely recommend staying at this Guesthouse. It has a great view of the Plaza Mayor and is close to the metro.

The staff was impeccable: always responsive to requests and helpful when offering directions or suggestions for places to go/things to do/restaurants at which to eat. The location is absolutely unbeatable. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Very friendly and helpful staff in a perfect location (better is impossible), with great view over Plaza Mayor (main square in Madrid), very central and next to almost everything that is important in touristic Madrid: Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museums, Retiro Park, Royal Palace, El Rastro, Sol, Gran Vía, Atocha train station... Any of these are not more that within 10/15 minutes walking distance. Thank you guys! I will definetly stay at Fabrizzio's next time! Ricardo and Ana

A warning to female travellers: this hostel is definitely a man-cave. All the luxuries a guy would want (a playstation), and nothing a girl would want (clean bathrooms, for example). The major problem I encountered was that access to the bathrooms is through the kitchen. One of the shower-rooms is not private at all (frosted glass door). Also, security was an issue - there was no lock on our room door, and there were no lockers either. But, the staff was very helpful (especially Ernesto).

There were only 3 people staying there including the 2 of us! So it was very hard to meet people and have fun. The staff told us there was a bar crawl downstairs to wait for and they never turned up so we had to go out alone and try meet people. The location was amazing though with a balcony looking over plaza de mayor which was really nice.

I had such a nice stay here that I decided to come back a second time. The atmosphere is very relaxed with ample space to hang out, an accessible kitchen, and a nice blend of people from all over. I am a female traveling sola and I felt very safe and comfortable here. The view into the Plaza Mayor is awesome. Before moving into a bunked room, I stayed in the double room by myself. The experience was well worth the price and I loved having coffee overlooking the plaza in the morning.

This Hostal proved to be an excellent stay. The staff was not only extremely friendly and welcoming, but when my wallet was stolen they helped me in every way possible to ensure that my vacation was not ruined. It is quite simply one of the best stays I have ever had in any of my travels.

Fantastic!! We had such a great stay. The staff were lovely and really helpful in recommending places to go. The hostel is very central, with many bars and restaurants in walking distance. Our room had a balcony which looked down onto the Plaza Mayor, a very nice view to wake up to! The hostel offers an all day breakfast and kitchen facilities to cook your own food. It was always kept very clean also. I highly recommend Fabrizzio Guesthouse! Lovely people and a great spot!!

Really good central location. Maybe would have been nice if we got given a map on arrival, and also if the rooms had little lockers for valuables. Apart from that, the hostel was clean, central, hot water, no curfew - everything you need for a quick stay in Madrid! Thank you :)
