Really charming terrace house-come-hostel! Great value on all fronts -- the owners were really lovely, breakfast was provided, beds were incredible, super nice common room for meeting other folks on the road. You'd be seriously well set up if this was your own place. Only drawback was getting back up the hill after a few pints!

I brought a group of students from America here. The Fairman House could not be more welcoming and friendly. The house was spotless, the facilities great and most of all the students were allowed to do their own cooking, watch the TV, use the wireless and on and on and on. I would recommend this to students, families, individuals, basically anyone. We\ will be staying there next time in Derry/Londonderry!!!

Great little hostel in not the best location. Make your own breakfast includes eggs. One bed was really comfy, one was not as much. Location and parking are main downers of this place.

The best hostel that I stayed in during my Ireland-trip! Very nice hosts, the only night in a bed with a real good bed ;) and a great breakfast!! Loved to be there and will hopefully come back

Wonderfully homey and spacious hostel. More like a B&B. NOT a party hostel but a lovely, gracious host/hostess and a large, clean room. Good, big bathrooms and large free breakfast.

We were very pleased with our stay at Farman House. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and the facilities were more than adequate. An adequate fix-your-own breakfast was provided. We would recommend this place to others.

When I visited Fairman house, I was kindly greeted and shown my room- a spacious, clean and well laid out room, with a comfortable sleeping arrangement. The price of the room was standard, but the the facilities within Fairman House are exceptional. Their internet connection is quick, free via wifi and easily set up. The bathrooms were all emaculate, and beautifully decorated and designed. The shower was comfortable and the temperature of Fairman House was perfect - a must stay for any traveler

These people are quite unique! The room was clean and warm. The showers are brand new and the bathroom is more than clean. I\'ve asked to wathc a DVD but their DVD player was broken so they bought one immediately just for me! Breakfast was great and they had lots of information about what to do in the region. It would definitely recommend this place!

I stay one night in Fairman Hostel and it was superb - the facilities are grand and the free breakfast was very nice. I say thanks to the hosts Stella and Liam for thier Irish hospitality and have good memories of my time here in Derry. Thank you and I will be definately coming again in the future. Christophe Bonet

Great place, very friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. Big kitchen with communal food and drink included in the price such as tea, coffee and breakfast cereal and toast. Parking outside the house on the street, the area itself isn't excellent but was quiet. Easy to get into town, It's only a 15 minute walk.

We loved our stay in the Fairman. Very friendly and welcoming hostel, perfectly clean rooms and comfortable beds. Cosy atmosphere, very well organized and absolutely recommendable! Nice big kitchen and lots of space for cooking and storing foods. All in all this was a great stay and we will definitely come back!

it is a perfect experience. we have a comfortable night. staff of this hostle are all very friendly.

A really nice, comfortable place. The beds were fantastically comfortable, the kitchen facilities were superb, breakfast was very good (the eggs and fruit were a nice touch!), the common room with the coal fire was very cosy. I felt very at home here! (also, it's a great value for money!) Thanks for a great stay!

Definitely the best hostel in Derry. If your looking an authentic Derry welcome owned by genuine and friendly locals then Fairman house if the place for you. Extremely friendly, remarkably clean, lovely and warm with a free breakfast in the morning, nice touch. I couldn’t speak anymore highly of Fairman house, and of Stella and her Husband. Very nice hostel. the experience there is like a homestay. It's a big native house with a large traditional rest room. Facilities are very clean and tidy. really thank you for everything done to maintain such a nice hostel!

Fantastic hostel with great hosts, would gladly stay any time and would recommend it as an inexpensive quality way to stay in Derry.
