-Staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. They are happy just to chat, and don't try to upsell you. -We were able to leave our luggage untouched while trekking for weeks, which was a huge bonus for us. This service is complementary provided you stay again when you return, which we were very happy to do. -Even though not all rooms have balconies, there are many nice spaces on the roof and in the garden for a quiet moment. A+ would stay again. Great value.

Great hostel! Right near the center but in a block away from all the traffic and chaotic streetlife of Kathmandu. Nice place to relax a bit.

Very nice place to stay in near Thamel, kathmandu. Good location, good staff and beautiful roof top from where you can see monkey temple, sunset view. Rooms are very clean, hot water working good and free wifi bonus. I will stay again here.

I stayed at Family Peace House for 6 days, and had a really well lit room. The staff is very friendly, and my stay was very pleasant. Wifi works even when the electricity gets cut, which is a bonus.

A very nice place in Paknajol . Nice roof-top, 5 min walk from Thamel, and allright shower facilities in the room with hot water. Overall, this is a great place to stay, and definitely worth the money. Very kind staff!

My stay at Family Peace House was great, all the staff were extremely helpful throughout my stay, the location is great, the rooms are spacious and clean, with really great internet connection. All in all I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay here.

I often come to Kathmandu for business and vacation and this time I was very happy to find Family Peace. The location is just outside Thamel and it is nice to come back to a quite place in the evening. Bimal, the owner is a very good host and is always willing to help you with anything. I had a few days to spare after doing my business and Bimal arranged a short trek around Kathmandu Valley which I really enjoyed. The atmosphere here is layed back and comfortable and I will definitely return.

A very nice place in Paknajol, close to Thamel. Calm, quiet and friendly. Rooftop and garden restaurant. Easily the best place to stay in KTM.

Well located in a quiet street two minutes walk from Thamel. Clean rooms, good facilities (laundry / water refill / hot water / taxi booking). No common area or restaurant since low season but guest houses next door welcome visitors (Bimal even keeps the menu for one of them in the Family Peace House reception). There is a generator so some lights and wifi even when power is down. Bimal (the owner) is always very helpful :) Good view from the roof terrace.

I really had good time in Family Peace House. Bimal is a great and helpful guy. he arranged trips around Kathmandu then to Chitwan for me, waited me at the airport, keep my things while I was traveling out of Kathmandu and left the impression of highly trustworthy person. The accommodation was quite ok (if you expect luxury go to Hyatt), problem with power cuts is solved with generator. Would recommend staying here to everyone.

We didn't have a shower that worked and there was no hot water

A great hostel. We only stayed there for 2 nights, and we may have been one of the few guest there. Really close to the center of everything, cheap, pleasent view and quit area. Only thing to point of was the shower, which took quite some time to get hot, but thats just a luxury problem at this price :)

My room was very nice and exactly as advertised, bright and sunny! Great view of Kathmandu from the rooftop.

I travel to many different countries for work and I can say without exception that this hotel was the best value hotel I ahve stayed at for the last two years. I ahve stayed in worse hotels that cost four times the price.

This hotel has a fantastic location in a quiet street that's still very close to the centre of the action in Thamel. The view from the rooftop is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful and organised bus tickets to Pokhara for us
