Warm welcome with a funny and pleasant host. We had a great time, though we didn't stay very long. It is also very conveniently located right above the Old Town, it's a 2 min walk down a flight of stairs to get there. Definitely recommended.

Great location near the Old Town and the main gate. Very helpful host who was ready to help and give advice, and who also made sure his guests were enjoying their stay.

When my friend and I decided to visit Dubrovnik for the second time in the past two years, there was no question in my mind as to where I wanted to stay. The Stanos family was one of the reasons that made my decision to revisit this city so easy. We absolutely fell in love with this family two years ago! They are truly amazing, humble and hospitable people. Dubrovnik would not be the same without them. We love you Baldo, Deanna and Ana Maria! See you again one day. Stay with the Family Stanos!

Family Stanos was the best hostel we stayed at in all of Croatia. It was a beautiful house and we had a gorgeous view overlooking old town and the ocean from our room. Location was excellent! The room was quiet, clean and the bathroom was modern and good shower. Our host Baldo (the owner) was friendly and helpful telling us good sights to see and local attractions. Baldo was hospitable and invited us to drink wine from his vineyard with him and even prepared seafood risotto for all his guests.

The household met us up at the bus station and guided us the lovely pension. we have spent wonderful time with the family. Location of this pension is superb. But if u r carrying big suitcase, the long stairs up may be difficult for you. In a nutshell, we recommend this pension :)

Family Stanos is a fabulous place to stay! We got to Family Stanos around 11:00PM, and Baldo (the owner) was waiting down by the steps to help us with our bags. He had been kind enough to figure out which flight we were on, and then wait for us near the bus station. The room had an INCREDIBLE view of Dubrovnik and was very spacious. Baldo was a great host- offering us drinks, biscuits, and telling us stories. He was even kind enough to drive us to the bus station our last morning. Stay here!

Awesome stay! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Even drove us to the ferry station to catch our boat at the end of our stay (and let us stay 7 hours past checkout so that we could shower before an overnight boat ride).

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Family Stanos was a great option for our 2-day stay. It's a charming family home with a nice garden to sit and relax and have drink and a chat with friendly host Baldo. Room very clean and comfortable - wonderful view of Adriatic Sea. Location of house just perfect... quiet street 5 mins from Old Town. Prices very reasonable too. And the host speaks great English. Just go there! You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Family Stanos!

I hate to rain on the Family Stanos parade, but our recent stay there was not good. While the location is terrific, the atmosphere was such that we didn't want to return to the hostel each evening. Mostly, it was a personality issue, but the beds were also uncomfortable, the neighborhood noisy, and there was no kitchen for guests to cook in.

The family is very gracious. Baldo helped us with arranging transportation from and to the airport, and found the best deal for a rental car for us. The location is excellent for touring the Old City, since it is straight down the hill from the house - less than a five minute walk away. Baldo's English is very good, and his 5 year old daughter's English is even better. The family is charming and welcomed us warmly every day.

More of a bed and breakfast kind of place this is a great place to stay because of location and the extremely kind family that lives there. Good location for parking and just outside the city walls.

Baldo and his little daughter are just totally adorable. Helpful and friendly. View from the window is awesome. Just 5 mins walk downstairs then you would be at the old city. Lovely location.

Family Stanos was a warm, welcoming place to stay. Our flights were delayed meaning we didn't arrive until midnight but they were waiting with pastries and brandy which was amazing! Great location and always happy to help. We will definitely be coming back!

Great place to stay. Very friendly staff, perfect location. Looking out the window from the room I stayed, the view of the old city wall and Adriatic sea was amazing. The host was very generous to offer cups of cognac every night and even a bottle of homemade rakija when I checked-out.
