Faro\'s fairly small but this hostel was still nice and central and had helpful staff. Attitude to security is much like is what might be expected in a house in the country. We were comfortable enough with that as Faro had a fairly safe feel, though some might have reservations. Facilities were meanwhile definitely no more than we paid for, with the private room we were in private only by line-of-sight. Saying all this, everything we needed was working well enough and we had a nice stay :)

The hostel was clean. Staff were friendly. Facilities were good. No complaints and it was very cheap. I've been to more social hostels before but if you are just looking for somewhere to stay this place is perfect.

Was a nice place and the owner was very lovely - gave us a lift to the laundromat for free. However the rooms were very cold (the heater was broken) and the bathroom was fairly dirty and broken as well.

This place was worse than the reviews and not even worth the cheap price. The tv in the common room & the tv in our rooms didn't work. The toilet was not screwed into the floor and you had to lift the lid of the tank to flush it. Our door lock kept getting stuck AND you had to keep the key only 1/4th of the way in the lock to turn it. My partner was getting over a cold and had a cough and one of the staff told her it was annoying.
