My first arrival here was to be told off by a receptionist for ringing the doorbell too many times (I rang again when ingot no answer) so I was immediately turned off. Admittedly, the other staff was better, but everything about the place seemed too controlled for a youth hostel that likely caters to a free spirited clientele. Breakfast was so-so, cleanliness fine, and security so good that even the guests have troube getting in - not fun in the rain. Stay elsewhere if you can.

Good place to stay and good price too, but could be little cold on the floor and room due to lack on insulation during winter but bearable. Nice staff too but place seems to be bit lonely during winter.

Very good : great location, nice and helpfull staff, clean hostel and great price (even including the 2 euros HI stamp duties, it still was a great deal). Would stay there again if i ever go back to faro.
