no alcohol allowed, no access to the hostel between 10am - 3.30pm even if you already checked in, dirty showers, the manager is the most creapy and weird person we ever met sneaking around all day trying to find sth to critizise you for (he kind of verbally attacked my girlfriend for having breakfast after 10am - he didn't inform us about those rules at all), If you have the chance to stay somewhere else do it!

Ok first things first... we have a fully licensed bar onsite which means yes you cant bring any alcohol on our premises.. would you take your own alcohol into a pub?? No you wouldn't and if you would then your just breaking the law. The majority of our guests really appreciate an onsite bar as it's not fair from there bed they can just sit and relaz knowning they don't have to travel far after a long day walking. We're also cheaper than any pub in the Fort william area!! Hostel closes between 10am and 4:30pm due to our insurance wanting no guests onsite while cleaning, maintainence is being done which i think is very reasonable. My showers are never dirty!! Visit scotland would not award us with 4 stars if they were and about 2 weeks ago just had our inspection.. So please people do not let this review stop you from staying with us.. we're very cheap no hidden charges, have loads of facilities, FRESH bed linen provided and we're constantly buying and improving our hostel for your comfort and pleasure.... We stayed here for one night and it was not a pleasant experience. Bed were prepared well but the toilet and bathroom was not at all good. I dont recommend this cottage for my friends at all.

I'm very sorry about your bad experience with us, I will be having strong words with my staff as we are 4 star rated and our standards are might to be kept veru high. I assure you if you return to us you will have a better experience, i will see to that myself... Kirsty

very good location and facilities, really good if you wanna a base do hike and travel in fort williams, but i found the owner very rude and acting like it was a favour he was doing us staying there, didn't like his attitude at all.
