Older facilities than most of the hostels I've been in. Door to room was difficult to close quietly. Also a ten minute walk from the metro and at least a ten minute metro ride anywhere you wanna go in the city, however for €9 you can't really complain, used it for one night when I had an early morning train and the hostel I was previously staying in was booked. If you plan on being in Barcelona long, I would suggest a closer hostel. If you get a metro pass it's not be too bad. Clean and quiet.

I've probably stayed in about 30 hostels in my life and I would consider this the best so far of the "chill" variety. It's a very laid back place- not for people looking to go out and getting drunk every night. The staff is excellent and the facilities are great. Plenty of bathrooms, clean bedrooms, great common areas. There's a decent kitchen as well, which is great. Breakfast has a nominal charge and is fine. While a bit out of the way, the location is great as well. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The residential área where the hostel is located, and the house itself, makes you feel at home when you arrive there. Good facilities in the área and the walk to the metro station is quite enjoyable. It suits all ages.

Excellent place to stay that is not in the center of the city. Its in a nice and quiet and really typical neighborhood and close to the metro stop. I would definitely stay here again. Friendly and helpful staff, clean bedrooms, and plenty of bathrooms. Rooftop terrace and patio were also a plus. My friend and I wanted to explore Barcelona but stay somewhere quiet, clean, and affordable; this is the place!

This is an excellent hostel, more beautiful and better than you imagine, it's got some cosy areas and the staff is super friendly! and although on the map it seems a bit up there, is actually very close to the most useful metroline that takes you everywhere within a short time.

Stay and explore a local neighborhood and avoid being stuck in the chaos of La Rambla and old town - Barcelona has so much more to offer. You can truly relax here, with couches, a beautiful outdoor area, and lots of natural light. Downtown is only 20min away by metro. Rooms could use lockers, but maybe that's part of the mindset of staying here. A friendly staff tries to make people feel welcome; it's a place where you can look to meet people or just stay invisible and have some alone time.

Philipe and staff were tops - always time for a chat and took an interest in what you were doing. great garden around the hostel gave it a really nice vibe. We're both sorry we missed the cocktails night. The kitchen facilities and dinning common areas were really good. Our twin room was one of the smallest rooms I have ever been in, but the double room was just awesome. toilets and showers fine. The location was great and we felt like we were living in the REAL Barcelona.

Really liked this hostel. Its actually good that it's a metro ride away from the center because you can really enjoy peace and relaxation when you want and the terraces are amazing for that. There are nice places to visit nearby too and the metro doesn't take that long to the center. I recommend it to all those qho want a cool, laid back place to stay where you don't have to worry about drunk party animals keeping you up all night. Just chill.

We had a wonderful time in Barcelona`s Garden House Hostel. The Atmosphere there is so excellent and and the staff is really cool and friendly. We really liked the amazing garden and the huge terrace. There you can have such nice evenings with people all over the world, have good conversations, drink some beer or wine and relax. If you want to party and live it up in Barcelona this isn't the place to be. But if you want to relax, have a great time, and just enjoy it all this is the only place to be.

Nice stay at this hostel. The hostel was in a quiet area, easily accessible by metro tot go to the center of the city, or to travel from airport. The decoration and interior looked very cozy. Nice garden with hammock for relaxing. They were nice and interested employees did. It was clean, shared kitchen is also neat.
