The hostel itself is great - it's clean, friendly and has good facilities for cooking, internet etc. The staff were all really helpful and friendly, especially Palona the receptionist. The location though is really a problem. It's stuck halfway up the mountain in the middle of the world's most puzzling one-way system (two out of the three taxis I took couldn't work it out!) so it's something to consider if you've got your own car. Oh, and the view is excellent

This hostel was great, and so cheap! Even though it's not in the city centre, it really takes no time at all to take the bus or tram, so don't let that put you off! The staff were so friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. There was also a great atmosphere with lots of people around, but still had no problems sleeping. Thanks guys!!

Amazing stay. Helpful young staff. A good international ambiance. The only negative thing is that you have to go 10 floors up the mountain to get to it but its okay there is a bus too if you're that lazy

+ liked the little notes about the consequenses of, for instance, wasting water, also the trash system, the staff was very nice and welcoming - too few possibilities to charge phones, cameras etc.. in the rooms, however, you could let your phone etc. charge at the reception over night

We enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed getting to know Palona and Melisa. Leandro went out of his way to adjust our booking so we did not have to move from one hostel to another. Many thanks to all three.

A great hostel, everything that you need. Nice, friendly staff, clean, 24 reception, wifi & a great roof terrace. I actually really liked the fact that it is set back from the main city centre, as Las Ramblas is great, but most Catalan people do not spend 7 days a week there. Staying here, you get to see how the real Catalan people live. Cheap bars nearby, that show the football, with beer from €1 and a nice supermarket just around the corner. 39 bus stops outside, and goes to city centre.

I had just 3 places to charge my battery. All people tryed to charge in the same place... That was just a chaos. We all have phones and laptops, you need to install more places where we can charge our batteries.

Great hostel, good facilities, big well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The staff were wonderful, Palona (the receptionist) made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location is a out of town but in a nice, quiet place, all the restaurants and bars around there are really cheap and the view of the city is stunning. If you have luggage I would suggest taking the bus rather than the metro as the hostel up a very steep hill from the metro station.
