It was my first time staying at a backpackers + travelling alone. I initially visualized it to be slightly scary staying in a mixed dorm but on the contrary I found my stay really great as I met lots of nice & fun people and the host was great as well as the location, right in the heart of Chinatown! Small and difficult to find once you get to the building. It seems to be pretty much a flat with the 2 bedrooms used for dorms. There is plenty of room to stretch out or chill out on chairs and tables on the balcony though, and the dorms are generally clean. Very nice and safe little guesthouse. Great location, so close to Chinatown (prob one of the best parts of Singapore) Auntie Aini is a really sweet lady, very helpfull and makes everyone feel at home. Very clean also! Fernloft City (Chinatown) was a great hostel. The location is excellent for exploring the city and Auntie Aine, who runs the hostel, is very nice. Ibu Aini, the branch manager in Fernloft Chinatown is a very nice and friendly person. Usually guest come here call her Mommy or in Malay/Indonesia we call Ibu. Good location, had a lovely breakfast with the manager who took us to a Chinatown place and then paid for it. See was very friendly.
