Bad experience.. Dirty and have been bite by bugs.. If you think it's cheap better reconsider..

I had a double bed private with shared bathroom. The room was great - felt clean, comfortable. The bathroom was not good. It didn't seem to be cleaned often with cleaning products, it was only just maybe sprayed down with the shower head from time to time lol. Result: unpleasant. Staff forgot to tell us to get a special keycard for returning after 3am..got locked out for 30 min as a result. Location is pretty bad IMO but bus stop and train are really close by. There is also a mall nearby.

Don't bother with this place at all...trust me! There was no one about when I stayed here, the dorm room was dirty and had no windows, and you had to take up your own sheets and make your own bed. The shower was basically on top of the toilet! No atmosphere whatsoever. It's a cheap place, but really...splash out a couple of extra dollars and go somewhere closer to town and that takes a bit more care over their hostel....this place just isn't worth it

Guest wanted to check in before the customary time @ 2pm when told the dorm wasn't ready. Our housekeeping was in full swing in readiness for 2 big groups of guests checking in following a large group checked out on the day he checked in. He did not object when he was handed the bed linen. NEA rates the outfit A for cleanliness & food hygiene. Any right-minded person will not install a shower above the toilet. The outfit is fully ventilated, all in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Location is very good , walk from metro just around 5mins, and the metro is very near a big shopping mall. If you want to go to attraction in Singapore , you can also buy tickets at hostel , which is so much cheaper! But not enough toilets , only 2 or even 1 each floor, you can always hear people waiting outside! And the wall is super paper thin , very noisy indeed ! Dun depend their wifi !! Although no need password , but you are hardly to connect it ! Coz too much people using it!!

Thank you for the feedback. The number of toilets on each floor and the wall partitions are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Was not impressed. No one around when we left the building to go out for breakfast so took us a while to find the way out via the back of the building. Breakfast was included but only saw bread and jam and coffee machine that didn't seem to work. Power point not working in the room so unable to use TV. Paper thin walls. Typical Singapore expensive budget accomodation which is why we only stayed 2 nights. We spent 2 weeks in Melaka with far better accomodation for far less.

Very poor Hostel, stinky room, no window, humidity, unfriendly staff. It's the hell if you have to live there. Because they don't have so many customer at least you have a room alone for yourself.

Nice and clean hostel, cheap. Transport is very convenient, bus stops and MRT (subway) is just next door. Value for money. Area around the Hostel is 24hrs action with Mustafa round the corner and several cheap n good food, you'll never go hungry. Staff are very friendly too. I like their discounted tours and attractions too, convenient. Recommended to all fellow backpackers.

Had an excellent stay at this hostel. It's basic and fulfills its purpose. Good, clean, safe and comfortable. Funny how the other reviewers were expecting a Ritz-Carlton when you are paying just 20 a night. You want Ritz's service and facilities, you pay 500 for it. The folks here are friendly and do keep their distance until you approach them but I suppose this is the Asian way of doing things. They are usually in the background until you ask them for help. I'm coming back to Fernloft again.
