If you want to stay on the east coast this is a decent choice - right beside some bars and shops and only a few minutes walk to the beach. We stayed in a double room and it was fairly small but ok. Shower toilets etc are clean.

Fernloft is definitely the place to go back for my next visit in Singapore. Uncle Chris, the manager, is very helpful and approachable. David, April, Ate Josie, and Aunt Mary are very friendly. It's a very safe place and you can just leave your belongings inside your room and roam around the city. The place is very cozy and I consider it my home away from home..Edz from the Philippines :)

Great little place to stay. Out of the city, close to the beach, but the centre is very accessible by bus. Staff are very helpful and obliging.

Although not centrally located, the transport service is right outside and is so easy and cheap to use. Also you get to see the east coast (which you wouldn't if you stayed in the city). The owner, Chris, was very helpful and the vibe of the place was good. Recommended.

Service was a joke, We booked three rooms, the night watchman read it as two and refused us a 3rd room. Was sorted out the next day when the manager came in.

Fern Loft East Coast was an absolutely ideal place, it was spic and span, homey and comfortable. It's location was nice as it's close to the beach yet just a short bus ride to the city. Best of all was the staff: Christopher, David and April are extremely warm and accommodating and the bar downstairs was an awesome hang out. I highly recommend this hostel, they contributed a lot to my stay in Singapore!
