Toilet door didn't shut! Other than this quite a nice stay.

Great location in the main party street of the town and has some parking spaces behind the building. The room was a bit too warm and stuffy.

Like many hostels, staff tend to linger in common rooms and arrogantly assume ownership of facility. Enormous rooftop sun deck, best location in all of Taupo.

Even though well llocated, the atmosphere of this hostel is about as cheery as a mental hospital. The facilities were very outdated and in serious need of renovation. Only stay here if you have no other option.

I was competing in a cycle race in Taupo in what is one of the busiest weekends in Taupo during the year. I had booked my room through hostelworld and paid my deposit in advance. I arrived and was informed that they had no record of me, notwithstanding the deposit I had paid. I was offered no apology or solution. Very disappointing. Accommodation was almost completely booked up across town due to the influx of race competitors. Managed to find an expensive hotel after much ringing around.
