Great location for going out on 6th street. Quick uber rides to Rainey street or soco. Room we stayed in was clean and bed was comfortable. The bar inside the hostel is a good atmosphere as well. Would stay here again.

Location is the best thing about this Hostel. It's in the middle of the hopping 6th st. district. Rooms are so, so - itchy blankets, broken lockers and not enough power outlets to charge up our modern life. Also hospitality tax in Texas in higher than advertised at a whopping 15%. Not real common areas other than the kitchen, so the breakfast food is above average!

The breakfast provided was pretty good, the bathrooms and the room were pretty clean and the location was awesome. Staff were very helpful as well.

The hostel was pretty nice, a lot of funny people. Breakfast wasn't something special, but they had bread, cereal and fruits, so it was what I expected. The hostel could be a bit cleaner, but it wasn't disgusting or anything. What I didn't like was the parking situation. Of course the hostel is right around 6th street, but it was just difficult to find a parking spot and you had to pay 10$ for it every night.

Great place to stay. Right in the heart of the city.

Location is great, stumble distance to the dirty 6. Cool hidden lounge / bar with great cocktails. Found staff to be pretty rude and short. Washrooms very clean however if you don't shower before 830am it will be freezing cold, this happen 2/3 days that so I showered at 7am to avoid it. Breakfast basic but good in the kitchen, just not enough sitting room for all the hostel.

Loved it all around. Met so many fantastic and interesting people thanks to the open, communal kitchen space (not to mention hands down best hostel breakfast ever! voodoo doughnuts? hello??) The hostel was extremely charming, and I loved having all of the recommended places to go hanging up on the stairwell. Thanks Firehouse-- I'll be back.

This is a great location right off 6th Street (the big party street), and yet I was able to go to sleep relatively early. The guy at the desk told me they take quiet hours very seriously. Good breakfast in the am- fruit, berries, juice, cereal, pastries. Great location- close to many restaurants and bars, between the Capitol building and the Convention Center/2nd St. river area. I walked numerous times to and from the South Congress shopping & food area as well. Highly Recommend.

Fireside was great - lovely and helpful staff, really atmosphere (meet great people) and facilities. They let me ship a parcel to myself while at the hostel and werewere very helpful when as couple of inappropriately rowdy Irishmen caused an awkward situation (not the hostel's fault and they asked them to leave, so everyone felt safe). The breakfasts were generous and great (appreciated the almond milk, but a gluten free option have been welcome too). The beds were comfortable but a rug would be

Nice and clean, awesome location but you could hear music from the bar downstairs til 2am and the mattress was the worst I'd ever slept on.

The common area (kitchen) is supposed to be closed between 2-6am, but it's never. So if your room is next to the kitchen, you won't get any sleep, as there is always a party at night. Anything else was great!

The noise from Sixth was loud, and the bed was...bouncy... But it's a GREAT location, great value, and the staff were very friendly.

Really great location to sixth street and to all the down town sights. Cool bar downstairs too. Met some really cool people here which i think made the stay. Security wasn't that great heard a couple of people had stuff stolen so be vigilant.

Had a guest steel my credit cards and license etc. out of my locked bag in my room. Not at all the hostels fault and the staff were helpful but it did ruin my stay. Otherwise would've had a great time here.
